Death is a part of life for every Sim inThe Sims 4. Whether from old age and passing away peacefully, to more strange methods like death from getting smashed by Murphy beds, when the time comes for a Sim’s life to end, there’s not much you can do about it.
Or is there? If you feel like cheating the Grim Reaper and having more time with your favorite Sim, there are ways you can bring your dead Sims back to life. Once you know what to do, you’ll be able to resurrect any of your ghost Sims for a second chance at life.
All Ways To Bring A Sim Back To Life
There arefive different methods for bringing a Sim back to life, and these include:
Any of these five methods are able to bring a deceased Sim back to life so long as their ghost is lingering around.
It’s much easier to use any of these methods to bring a Sim back to life if the ghost is in your household. You can add any Sim to your household by enabling testing cheats (typetestingcheats onin the cheat console) and shift-click on any Sim. ChooseAdd to Family.
How To Save A Sim Before Death
If you want to avoid having to resurrect a Sim, any Sim can be saved bypleading for their life with the Grim Reaper. While the Grim Reaper is reaping the deceased Sim, click on them and choose Plead for Sim;if you succeed the Grim Reaper will not reap the Sim, and they will return to life as they were before.
Use The Book Of Life
you’re able to bring a Sim back to life by having them read the Book of Lifeif their soul is bound to it. The Book of Lifecan be written by a Sim with alevel of ten in the Writing skill,who has also completed the Bestselling Author aspiration.
Once these requirements have been met,your Sim can bind a soul to the Book of Life.Have your Sim go to any computer, choose Write, then Book of Life, andonce the book is finished, it will be in your Sim’s inventory.
The Sim must be alive to be bound to the book, so this method only works if the Sim is still alive.
Find the book in your inventory and choose Capture Epic Saga,which will bring up a menu of Sims you can choose.Choose the Sim you want to keep alive, and when that Sim perishes,their ghost can read the Book of Life that is bound to them, bringing them back to life.
Eating Ambrosia
The special dish Ambrosia can be eaten by any ghost to bring that Sim back to life. To use this method,a Sim must have a level 10 Cooking skill and a level 10 Gourmet Cooking skill.
With those skills maxed out, your Sim can then whip up the Ambrosia dish. Here are the ingredients needed for the dish, and where to find them:
How to get Ingredients
1 Potion of Youth
The Angelfish is a rare fish and won’t be easy to catch. With ahigher Fishing skill, it will be easier to find, most frequently caught inWillow Creek and Oasis Springs.
Once you have the proper ingredients,click on any fridge or stove and choose to make Ambrosia. Have any ghost Sim eat it, and they’ll come back to life.
Wish At The Wishing Well
A ghost Sim can make a wish at a Wishing Well available in theRomantic Garden Stuff Packfor a chance to be brought back to life. This option isn’t available in the base game.
You can place a Wishing Well wherever you want; it costs 7,775 Simoleons and can be found under Skills and Activities > Miscellaneous. Have your ghost Sim go to any Wishing Well and choose to wish to be brought back to life, thenMake a Wish,and last,Wish for Life.
The more Simoleons they throw into the well,the more likely they are to have their wish granted.However, not all outcomes result in having the Sim come back to life, and there are a few different results that can come from this:
If your Sim gets the ‘Accepted Fate’ moodlet instead of being brought back to life, they will have to wait for the moodlet to expire before trying again.
If your ghost Sim has the Accepted Fate moodlet, no other form of resurrection will work while the moodlet is active. You will have to wait for it to expire to resurrect them.
Cast The Dedeathify Spell
If your Sim is a spellcaster, they have the opportunity tolearn the Dedeathify spell in their spellbook and bring Sims back to life by casting it. You need to have the Realm of Magic Game Pack for this option.
The Dedeathify spell can be taught by the magical Sages to any spellcaster who is a Master rank. Go to the Realm of Magic andask L. Faba, Simeon Silversweater, or Morgyn Emberto teach your Sim Untamed spells.
A Sim can be taught the Dedeathify spell when they are friends with any of the three Sages. Be sure to befriend them by building up a relationship with the Sage by using friendly interactions with them.
One of the Untamed spells they can learn is Dedeathify. Once your Sim knows the spell, click on a ghost, chooseSpellcaster, andDedeathifyto bring them back to life.
Drink Vitality Nectar
The final waya Sim can be brought back to life is by drinking the Vitality Nectaravailable in the Horse Ranch Expansion Pack. To get the Vitality Nectar, your Sim can either make it themselves or be given a bottle.
Both ways can be accomplished bybefriending Roberto Crinkletop. This Sim can teach you plenty of recipes for nectar, and if you have a high enough friendship, will teach them the Vitality Nectar recipe.
Roberto will gift your Sim a Vitality Nectar bottle once they’ve been taught, so you will have one on you. If you need to make more, here is the recipe for Vitality Nectar:
Spinach
Once you have the ingredients, head to theRootin' Fruit’n Nectar Makerwhich is available in Buy Mode for 350 Simoleons. It can be found underSkills and Activities > Outdoor Activities.
you may then use the nectar maker to make bottles of Vitality Nectar.Have a ghost Sim drink the nectar, and they’ll be brought back to life.
