Cheyu Vale is the newest addition toGenshin Impact’sgrowing map and, with new maps, come new mysteries. Silently The Butterfly Crosses The Valley is a hidden world quest in Yaodie Valley, in Chenyu Vale. The quest can be easily started without any prior conditions by simply going to the cave on your right after teleporting to Yaodie Valley.
Silently The Butterfly Crosses The Valley mainly consists of completing a vague quest objective to chase butterflies into the large jars atop the cave. The butterflies are scattered and hidden across the cave; to find them, you must explore the whole cave.
How To Chase The Butterflies Into The Medicine Jar
The butterflies are placed at random spots that could be hard to notice, and all of them can be caught by completing challenges ranging from solving puzzles to fighting waves of enemies.
How To Catch The First Butterfly
Starting from the “Carefree Simulacrum” which triggers the quest,follow the wooden path until it ends, and go left to find a cave. There will be Fungus enemies in front of the cave, kill them to get an exquisite chest reward and proceed to head inside the cave.
In the cave, you will have to solve a puzzle to free the butterfly that is trapped in the jar. You will noticethere are two big cauldronswithone trapping the butterfly, and a small jar which you may move with Adeptal energy.
Move the small jar to the large cauldron without the butterfly, andplace it on top of the stone nearby. Once that is done, the barrier will be removed. Now you will have two small jars that can be used.
Place these two small jars on top of the stone that is near the large cauldron with the butterfly. The puzzle is solved, and you will be rewarded with an exquisite chest.
How To Catch The Second Butterfly
After getting the reward for catching the first butterfly, simplyturn left and follow the path, and you will see a broken jar with four purple butterflies surrounding it. Interact with them to trigger a challenge where you must find the four butterflies that flew away in the following locations:
There is aWind Wheel near the tall stalagmite, which you can trigger with an Anemo skill to easily get the scattered butterflies.
Upon catching all the small butterflies, you will obtain the second butterfly needed to complete the quest.
How To Catch The Third Butterfly
The third butterfly is the easiest to catch; you must head toward the spot marked on the map, and you will notice there is apainting of a mountain with a butterfly flying on top of it. To get the butterfly out of the picture,stand on top of the tall stalagmite nearby, take the stone simulacra nearby, and put it on top of the pedestal nearby.
You must stand on top of the tall stalagmitenearby and look at the picture on the wall to complete this puzzle.
How To Catch The Fourth Butterfly
To find the fourth Butterfly,complete the challengenearby where you must easily collect-elemental-particles type of challenge. After completing this challenge,you will be rewarded with an exquisite chest and the fourth butterfly can be obtained.
How To Catch The Fifth Butterfly
Head towards the marked spot, and you will see a cave that is blocked off by a spider web, so just destroy it and be careful of the explosive barrels inside. After you are inside the cave, you will notice explosive barrels and a lot of crates,destroy them all to start a quick combat challengewhere you must fight a small mob of Hilichurls.
You can use Elemental Bursts with an area of effect damage near the explosive barrels to avoid taking any damage.
After the battle, the final butterfly will spawn, take your reward, andhead towards the “Carefree stone simulacra” to proceed with the quest.
Investigate The Ancient Tree
This is the final part of “Silently The Butterfly Crosses The Valley”. Upon investigating the highlighted spot, a luxurious chest will spawn and all the butterflies you have collected will be floating nearby.
Go near the floating butterflies, and you will be teleported to Adeptus’s Repose. Upon arriving, you will be prompted to “look for the medicine jar mentioned by the Carefree Simulacra”.
The medicine jar will be right in front of you,climb on top of it and interact with the butterfly. This will unlock a room that was previously blocked by a barrier, head inside to get a luxurious chest reward.
After you are inside the room,go to the wooden shelf and investigate the left side of the shelf.This will prompt a series of dialogues and the quest will be completed along with rewards of 40Primogemsand a hidden achievement.
