The Liberation’s command post is captured

The time limit expires
This stage is quite a marathon, but you have all the tools you’ll need to be successful, especially if you’ve been levelling up and collecting lots of useful equipment.

There are three general stages to this fight:
At this point in the game, you should have a good grasp on what makes a good formation to deal with the threats you have before you, but there are some formations that we can confidently recommend to you.
Archer
Wizard
This is a high-damage allrounder unit meant todeal specifically with Hoplites and Gryphons. Give the Archer aFlame Bowand the Wizard theChloroticstaff to double up on Burning.
Set the Wizard’sFire Burst to prioritise Burningenemies to make use of its special effect.
Witch
Cleric
This unit is a highlydefensiveone, meant to weather down tough enemies with little risk. Primarily, this will be the unit you use totake down the Hoplites and Sellswords defending Avague Village. Give the Cleric aFamiliar’s Chokerif you have one to boost the Witch’s offence.
Back Row
Knight
This unit will be deployed and buffed halfway through the stage to quicklypick up items and board the Battering Ramto the north. Make theKnight the leader.
These units also need to be able to fight enemies, somake sure they’re equipped for battle.
Fighter
Gladiator
You will also need a formation meant to deal with aspecific threatfar later in the stage. This enemy is so powerful that the best way to beat him is tobuild around his skills entirely.
Josef
Housecarl
This formation is designed to be able todeal with an incredibly tricky bosswho has the power to reduce your entire team’s HP to 1 and also inflict Poison as a counter. More about this formation will be explained when the guide gets to this boss.
You might want togive Josef a Lapis Pendantto increase the amount of times he usesPursuit. Also, make him the Leaderfor increased movement speed.
Front Row
Travis / Thief
With these four formations, you’ll be able to handle 95 percent of the challenges that this stage throws at you with ease.
How To Beat The Priestess, Abducted
At the beginning of this stage, you’ll be alerted to theguest formation you have in the centre of the stage, led by Fran the Gryphon Knight. Use this unit to pick up the shining5,000G War Fundsin the lake to the west and thenkill the Wizardsin the nearby tower.
Once they’re dead, station them in the towerand wait for the other enemies nearby to come to you.
Before unpausing, deploy the following: yourBoss Killer, Triple Threat, and Magic Hoplite units. We’ll use theBoss Killer to support Fran’s unit- send them north through the trees and prepare to kill somehidden enemiesas you go. There will be two to beat, but they’ll fall quickly to the Boss Killer setup listed above.
Send your Triple Threat unit to the east first, killing the Armored Infantry, Hammerbearers, and Gryphon Knights. You may need toheal up the Warriorin between battles, but that’s what healing tonics are for!
Once you reach the village, send your Magic Hoplite to capture the villageand theTriple Threat to take the tower. Around the same time, yourBoss Killer should be reaching the Axebearer occupying GrupontTown- make sure they take the town to recover some Stamina. You’ll also get aSilver Hourglass, which will be very useful later.
Once all the enemies around Grupont are dealt with, consider sending Fran’s unit to occupy Aubel Ruins to obtain a Dew of Skill.
As you approach Avague Village, more units will probably spawn nearby. Get yourTriple Threat into the tower as soon as possible, and then use Arrow Rainto soften them up so your Magic Hoplite unit doesn’t have to spend too many turns defeating them. There are a lot, though, so you may need to either usetwo rounds of Arrow Rain(if you have a lot of Valor Points) or use someSmoked Nutsto give them some more Stamina.
Renault will send some very fastGryphonsto attack you at some point, but they’re quite weak - your Triple Threat unit will be able to demolish them quickly with either normal attacks or an Arrow Rain.
You’ll get aWind Faerie’s Charmfor occupying Avague. Once you have control of the town, deploy your Ram Racer unit(with the Knight as the leader) and send them toboard the Battering Ram to the north. Buff them with aLight Featherto make things even quicker, and be sure to pick up the two items on the way.
As the Ram Racer is moving up to the ram, send Fran’s unit up across the river to defeat the two Wizard units stationed just outside the city.
Fran’s unit and the Ram Racer unit should, between them, be able to defeatevery enemyin and around the city - they might need someHealing Tonicsand perhaps ashort rest to restore Stamina(shorten the waiting time with theHourglassitem you obtained earlier), but they should have little difficulty finishing Renault off.
After beating Renault’s formation, you’ll obtain theCrimson Sarissa, which is a nice spear. Unfortunately, this isn’t the end of the stage - there’s one more opponent to tackle.
How To Beat Galerius
You’ll findGalerius to the northwest of Eucit, and his formation is incredibly tough to take down. This is owing to his ability to defend his allies, reduce your party’s HP to one, and destroy entire rows after the fact. This is why we made theBoss Killer unit, which serves as a great counter.
Send the Boss Killer up to Galeriusand engage him. The first battle should be enough to deal with the front row, but thanks to the damage you sustain, you’ll ‘Lose’ the battle and be pushed back. Use aSilver Hourglassto cut the waiting time so Galerius doesn’t have a chance to heal, and then go in for the kill.
If Travis has reached level ten, be sure tomake Passive Steal a higher priority action than his poison attack; the extra PP will be insurance in case things go wrong. If you have aspare Lapis Pendant, giving him one is also a good idea.
While this is going on,don’t neglect the rest of the battlefield- there may be stragglers that you missed earlier in the stage who get close to your command post!
For beating Galerius, you’ll get aCarnelian Pendant, which will increase a unit’s AP by one. In addition, you’ll getScarlettback (albeit under-levelled) and unlocktwo new countries to explore.
