Merciless Judge And Executive Greatsword Battle Guide

Once you arrive on the184th floorof Tartarus, you will be greeted by two foes who are ready to give you more trouble than any boss before them - the Merciless Judge and the Executive Greatsword. The recommended level for this boss fight islevel 59.

As far as affinities go, if you want to useskills that hit more than one foe, the only available options for this fight areDark, Wind, Fire, Piercing, and Almightyskills. Any other typing will be resisted or worse by one of the two bosses.

The Merciless Judge and Cruel Greatsword will use a combination ofSlashing, Ice, Electric, and Lightskills.

Bring along a stock ofAmrita Gems, Amrita Soda, Baisudi Gems, and Maibaisudi Gemsto take care of any Freeze or Shock statuses.

What makes crafting a team for this fight so difficult comes in the fact that - for the most part -each team memberwho excels in this fight offensively is also, unfortunately, at a disadvantage defensively. Let’s go over some of the strengths and weaknesses of each team member:

For this guide, we will go over the strategy using the team membersKoromaru, Aigis, and Yukari.

You can substitute these memberswith any other member you have if these three are not a sufficiently high level, but keep in mind the strengths and weaknesses above if you choose a different composition.

Koromaru Will Use His Multi-Target Skills

If your Koromaru islevel 56or higher, he will have access toMaragidyne, the best skill for him to cast each turn.

Otherwise, he will knowMaeiga and Virus Breath, both of which are fine to use each turn. Maeiga does more damage, but Virus Breath canPoisonthe boss, which is devastating.

Yukari Will Debuff, Heal, And Deal Wind Damage

On Yukari’sfirst turn, cast Masukundato lower both enemies’ evasion and - more importantly - their accuracy. This could lead to many moves from the bosses just missing.

Onsubsequent turns, use Magarula or Garudyneto apply damage.

Otherwise, if your team is unhealthy, useMediaramato sustain them.

Aigis Will Buff And Attempt To Crit

Aigis will useMarakukajaon her first turn, followed byMatarukajaon the next turn. After both buffs have been applied to your team, performsubsequent turnsby usingMyriad Arrowsto attempt to critically hit the bosses.

Choosing The Protagonist’s Persona

Finding the right Persona for this fight is just as difficult as crafting the right team composition for your party. Since the bosses use Ice, Electric, Light, and Slash skills, you will be hard-pressed to find a defensive Persona with the right affinities.

The Best Persona

The best Persona for this encounter would be theAeon Arcana, Nidhoggr. Nidhoggr cannot be recruited on any of the floors in Tartarus and thushas to be fused.

You should fuse this using aGirimekhala with Repel Slashand any of the followingEmpress Arcana Personas: Leanan Sidhe, Yakshini, or Hariti.

Once you have fused this Nidhoggr, raise it tolevel 53, which is when it learns Null Light. This will result in a Persona thatnullifies Ice, Electric, and Light damage while also repelling slashdamage.

More Persona Options

Since Nidhoggr is of the Aeon Arcana, it can bedifficult to raiseand may be weaker as a result. There are several other great options that can be chosen instead to save time.
