As you ascend to the summit of the frozen northern wastelands ofPalworld, a chilling darkness engulfs the air around the mouth of the nearby mineshaft. The Iceberg Mineshaft is home to none other than the Empress of the Abyss, Alpha BossLyleen Noct.
Alpha Boss Lyleen Noct is prepared to use both its Ice and Dark moves to defeat any pals who dare challenge it. You and your pals had better come prepared, or else you will be frozen and blinded until you’ve met your demise.

Where To Find Alpha Boss Lyleen Noct
Alpha Boss Lyleen Noct is located within theIceberg Mineshaft on the northern frozen continentin Palworld. The exact coordinates to the entrance of the Iceberg Mineshaft are-141, 320.
The fastest way here is toteleport to the waypoint named Unthawable Lake and head directly northwest. Once you hit the mountain, you will either need to climb or fly vertically until you reach a cliffside with the mineshaft entrance.
The mineshaft is harder to spot during the day, soif you are having trouble finding it, then look during nighttime when the outside torches will be lit up.
Alpha Boss Lyleen Noctrespawns one hour after being defeated.If the end of the Iceberg Mineshaft is vacant, then you will have to wait or come back later.

Move: Dark Ball
The boss will frequently use Dark Ball, which is atwo-part projectile attack.
After charging up dark energy fortwo seconds, it will release the ball. The ballwill track you and your pal’s movements, perfectly following either of you.
The Dark Ball isextremely slow. Ifyou are far awaywhen the boss uses it, thenit won’t even reach youbefore it disappears.
Move: Icicle Cutter
Icicle Cutter launches anincredibly wide projectileat its target, but theprojectile is so slowthat you may just walk horizontally to avoid damage as long as you aren’t too close to the boss.If it targets your pal, just return it.
If you aretoo close to the bossthen the only way to dodge this ability is byrolling toward the boss.
Move: Shadow Burst
Alpha Boss Lyleen Noct will often attempt to get within melee range of you to use Shadow Burst. If you see the boss floating directly at you, wait until it gets right next to you before rolling in the opposite direction.
Alpha Boss Lyleen Noctmoves very slowlywhen attempting to close the distance between you two; use this as an opportunity tomake it keep following you while you and your pals launch attacks at it.
Move: Cryst Breath
Cryst Breath is a close to mid-range damaging ability.
If you are about halfway across the room from Alpha Boss Lyleen Noct,a single roll backward will take you out of Cryst Breath’s range. If you are closer, though, then you mustrun either clockwise or counter-clockwiseuntil the boss has stopped using the attack.
If caught in the breath,it will hit you multiple times.
Move: Nightmare Ball
Nightmare Ball is a targeted ability that inflicts massive damage towhatever it touchesbefore it vanishes.
The ball travels very fast so thebest way to avoid it is to run horizontally before it gets fired. The cue to dodge is when the ball has formed a perfect circle above the boss’s head.
Move: Blizzard Spike
Blizzard spike does a devastating amount of damage and is very difficult to dodge.
Alpha Boss Lyleen Noct must channel ice above its head before it is able to launch the spike. If this move is targeting your pal,return them to their sphere immediately.
Once the move is ready to be launched, astar-shaped flash will appear above the boss’s head; this is your cue to dodge.
Thearea of effect of this explosion is so massivethat in order to avoid its damage, you will have toroll twice consecutively!
What Are The Best Pals To Beat Alpha Boss Lyleen Noct?
Dark element pals areweak to Dragon element moves,but this boss makes it especially difficult to bring pals that it is weak to;most Dragon element pals are not suitable for this fight since half of the boss’s moves are Ice elemental!
Instead, you can useFire element pals like Bushi or Suzaku to resist at least the Ice halfof Alpha Boss Lyleen Noct’s moveset.
The best pal for this fight would be theDragon/Fire element pal Jormuntide Ignis. Jormuntide Ignis is the only Dragon/Fire element pal in Palworld. With its unique typing, it can resist the Ice moves from the boss while also dishing out strong Dragon moves that the boss is weak to.
