As you explore the archipelago inPalworld, you’re going to come across many unique and interesting Pals that you can collect. Some of these are larger than others, and far stronger. These are Alpha Bosses, which make formidable foes and useful allies.
Fighting these bosses can take a lot of preparation, but the rewards are well worth it–especially if you can capture the Pal in a Pal Sphere. TheElphidranis a large Dragon Pal you can use as a mount. Here’s everything you need to know to not only defeat the Alpha Boss, but capture it for your collection of Pals.

Where To Find The Elphidran Alpha Boss
You’ll find theAlpha Boss Elphidran at 44, -283, north ofthe Penking dungeonand a few paces west. They can be found in a clearing up a hill in Free Pal Alliance territory.
Elphidran is a Dragon Pal that makes a useful ally. They can beused as a flying mountand deployed at your base to help with lumbering. They may not be the best Pal to use at your base, and theyonly have one work suitability, but they are an excellent mount that you’ll encounter mid-way through the game.

How To Beat The Elphidran Alpha Boss
Todefeat the Elphidran Alpha Boss, you’ll need to bring some tough Pals.Dragon Pals are weak to ice, so you’ll ideally want to bring a few Ice Pals to help you lower Elphidran’s health.
You can defeat Elphidran with arrows, though you will want at least the Makeshift Handgun to put a dent in its health on your own.
Chillet, Dancer on the Plains,is an Ice/Dragon Pal that works well once you level them up to around 30. You can also bring Pals like Pengullet, Penking, and Reindrix to help with the Ice damage that will quickly reduce Elphidran’s health.
Make sure to recall your Pals when Elphidran has low health so that they don’t accidentally defeat them before you’re able to try catching them.
Once youdrop down to the last 100 hit points, pull out your Pal Spheres and attempt to catch Elphidran. Catching the Gentle Sky Dragon is no small feat, and it willgrant you a lot of experienceand a new mount.
