Fight Preparation For Majima, Saejima, And Daigo

You’ll want to have a pretty balanced party for this fight. Especially element-wise.Majima is weak to Fire, Saejima is weak to ice, and Daigo is weak to electricity. The best approach is going to be to have every party member have a skill that hits that specific weakness. However, we also recommend you bring bombs to this encounter, so, if a party member doesn’t have a skill of one element type, you’re able to put them on bomb-throwing duty.

Zhao and Nanba’s base class havefire attacks. Kiryu, on the other hand, can get one from theHost or Chef job. Saeko and Seonhee can get their fire attacks from theNight Queen, Housekeeper, or Kunoichi.TheAquanauts Jellyfish attackis a great place for the men to get anelectricity attack, while the women should turn to theNight Queen class(though Seonhee will have plenty of electricity attacks in her base class). Finally, theHost and Aquanautclasses are a good place to getwater attacksfor the men, while theHousekeeperclass has potent water-based attacks for the women.

If this looks like a lot, keep in mind that you are in Chapter 12 of the game, which means thata single typical encounter, that you may auto-win, will get youprettyclose to level 10 with a new job.

Naturally, you will want everyone to have a healing ability of some sort. The Aquanaught job is the best way to get a good heal for the guys, and the ladies can get one from the Geodancer. Beyond that, you can craft some extremely potent healing items that will give HP and MP to the entire partyby using the ingredients you can find all over Honolulu.

We already mentioned this in passing, butyou will want to bring Intoxication Bombs, Hallucinogenic Bombs, and Fulminous Bombs. You can purchase these bombs from theBenten Pawn Shop. This will further weaken Majima, Saejima, and Daigo’s elemental weaknesses, and help take them out quicker. Beyond the bombs, make sure everyone has 5-star gear at the minimum. These guys hit way too hard to skimp on gear.

Majima Breakdown

Majima will start the battle by buffing his evasion with Hannaya’s Spirit. This makes him extremely difficult to hit with regular attacks. Thankfully, it doesn’t help him evade magic attacks in the least. So, we’re going to focus on hitting him with magic almost exclusively. He is weak to slashing attacks as well, but with his absurd evasive ability, we’d stick to nailing him with fire attacks.

As for his attacks, Majima’s regular attack hits three times. He performs two quick kicks, followed by him dashing back, and then lunging forward for a final slash.Majima’s Rising Slashis a five-hit slashing combo that is imbued with the electricity element. This combo is very quick, so the cadence of your guard presses will need to be pretty fast.Majima’s Cruelty Kickhits twice. It is a somersault kick followed by a lunging slash. These are spaced out pretty far apart and are relatively easy to guard.

Finally, and most pressingly,Majima has the Doppelganger ability, which will createTHREEMORE MAJIMAS!He’ll start using this attack once you have taken around half of his health bar away.

Saejima Breakdown

Saejima likes to take a defensive stance,so you will need grabs to break it.Saejima’s attack standard hits four times. This combo has a pretty consistent cadence. HisDouble Swing attack, on the other hand, has a super long windup, but once he lets it rip the two strikes come quite quickly. So, you will want to quickly double-tap the block. He also has his own quick combo called the"Rush Combo", which hits four times and has that raised tempo.

Mountain Crusheris just a single guard press, wait for his hand to hit the ground. However, even when Perfect Guarded this attack does a hefty amount of damage. Saejima also has access to a bunch of throws. These all deal absurd amounts of damage, and, unlike with a strike, you can’t guard against them. Some of them will even hit your entire party.

Daigo Breakdown

Daigo will raise the Willpower of his entire team with Acala’s Spirit. This skill also removes all negative status effects, which is a real pain in the butt as you will want to use bombs in this battle. Daigo’s standard attack is a five-hit combo. He has theHeavy Attackcombo, which also hits five times, but deals more damage. There is a notable pause before he lands the fifth strike, which is a dropkick, with this attack. So prepare for that final block. He also has theQuick Comboattack. This is another five-strike attack, but the tempo is much faster, so get ready to tap that guard button pretty quickly.

Fighting Majima, Saejima, And Daigo

No matter what, you are going to want to focus on one character at a time and take them out as quickly as possible. Which of the three you should start with is an interesting question, as each one poses their own unique dilemma…

If you have Zhang’s Wok attack unlocked, you can potentially take out multiple Majima clones in one fell swoop. The cooking job also has a number of fire attacks that can hit a large swathe of enemies. This is a great way to diminish the threat of Majina’s Doppelganger attack. While you can lower Saijima’s agility, he still hits with those grabsprettyconsistently, and you can’t seem to blind him. So, he is a genuine problem.Daigo’s ability to remove debuffs, however, makes him the target we think you should start with. Once you remove him from the equation, you can start tossing grenades at Saijima and Majima, further weakening their preexisting weaknesses.

That being said, if you don’t have access to those fire attacks that hit multiple enemies, then you are probably better off focusing on Majima first and foremost.

Desperate Attacks

Once you fully deplete Majima, Daigo, or Saijima’s health bar, they will go into their own version of the Awakening mode, at which point you will need to beat them the old-fashioned way. That being said, they aren’t nearly as tough in this mode and take a hefty amount of damage whenever Kiryu lands a strike.

Reward

Once you defeat these three titans you will be rewarded handsomely. You’ll get 171, 020 Experience Points, 153,910 Job Experience Points, +15 to your Bond, and ¥11,250,333.Additionally, you will be rewarded with the fantastic Bracelet of the Four Devas.

You will also gain a Sujidex entry for Goro Majima, Taiga Saejima, and Daigo Dojima. Gotta catch ‘em all!
