InGranblue Fantasy: Relink, you play as the Captain of the Grandcypher, a crew trying to reach the edge of the sky to find the Captain’s father. Along the way, they stop in the Zegagrande Skydom, where their companion and close friend, Lyria, is soon kidnapped by the Church of Avia.
As you fight back against the Church of Avia, you’ll eventually come across its two powerful generals, Maglielle and Gallanza. Defeating these two in battle can be difficult. Below, we’ll take a look at everything you need to know about beating Maglielle, commander of the Sword Veil Fellowship.
How To Beat Story Mode Maglielle
You will first fight Maglielle inChapter 6: In Search of Hope, while exploring the desert. After solving the puzzle in the desert, Maglielle will appear and attempt to stop you from securing the mind sealer device.
The fight will begin against a fewwaves of Sword Veil Fellowship members. For the most part, these enemies shouldn’t give you any problems. Defeat each one to advance to the next stage of the battle, against Maglielle herself.
Maglielle wields magical swords that canprotect her while she attacks. For most of the fight, she willprotect herself with a shieldthat greatly reduces the amount of damage you can deal. At some points, this shield willprevent you from dealing any damage at allto Maglielle.
Occasionally, Maglielle willthrow a weapon at a party member, which will then getstuck in the ground and glow white. Attack this weapon todamage Maglielle’s shield, allowing you to attack her directly.
Soon after enteringOverdrive, Maglielle will useSword Opera. She will target areas around the arena withcircular AoEsbefore creating largewaves of energy from the center of the arenathatradiate outward. Dodge the circular AoEs, then prepare tojump and dodge over the energy wavesas they appear.
Continue attacking like normal after this attack. If you may, use aFull Burstto Break Maglielle at this time.
After exiting the Broken state, Maglielle will useSymphony Superior, her ultimate attack. This move will have her summon the four Weapons of legend,Mjolnir, Freikugel, Caduceus, and Gae Bulg, which will each perform an attack.
At the same time, Maglielle will also use hersword energy wave attack. Be sure to jump and dodge over the waves while avoiding the Weapon’s attacks.
After each Weapon has used its attacks, Maglielle will bring them all back out to perform those same attacks again, butthis time all at once. However, the Weapons can now also bedestroyed by your attacks. Focus on one Weapon at a time, dodging each attack while you take them out.
Once you’ve defeated all four Weapons, return your focus to Maglielle. At this point, you should be ready to enterLink Time- once you’ve done that, the fight should be pretty much over. Keep attacking Maglielle until she goes down, and the fight will be complete!
