Final Fantasy 7 Rebirthis a massive game that attempts to capture so much of what made audiences fall in love with the original in the ’90s. An important ingredient of the enduring legacy are summons, and few are as unique as Kujata. While most summons channel a single element, Kujata can utilize fire, lightning, and ice.

Due to its ability to channel multiple types of elemental attacks, Kujata is a phenomenal addition to your materia horde, serving as a utility summon. Its majestic power will help you crush all those who stand in your path, but first you’ll have to take it down inChadley’s battle simulator.

Gongaga on the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth map

Kujata Divine Intel Locations

You’ll gain the ability to challenge Kujatawhen you enter the Gongaga region in chapter nine. However, you probably won’t want to jump into the simulator just yet. Summon battles are tough! While it’s possible to tame the beast as soon as you reach Gongaga, Kujata can easily wipe the party out. Luckily, there’s a way to weaken your prey:collecting Divine Intel.

There are three Kujata summon crystalsspread around the region. Analyzing each of them will decrease the challenge of the boss fight, removing thousands of HP from their total health pool. Completing all three willunlock the boss fight’s easiest difficulty, making victory more achievable.

Using the Assess materia on Kujata in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Even if you’re able to smack Kujata when it’s at full strength, you’ll still want to collect all the divine intel! The beast’s elemental attacks arelocked behind analyzing the three summon crystals, so if you want to actually utilize Kujata’s unique attributes, you’ll need to explore the region.

Divine Intel One

The first summon crystalcan be found as soon as you enter Gongaga. You can even encounter it on the path to the village. Simplybreak one of the guidestonesand follow the path to the sanctuary. You’re one step closer to taking down Kujata!

Divine Intel Two

The second and third sanctuariesrequire you to progress through chapter nine. When you’re given full access to the area, head north.Go past the airstrip, and as you continue, you’ll find a cave housing the second crystal. You’ll need the region’s chocobo to reach it, jumping off a mushroom to reach the guidestones.

Divine Intel Three

The final piece of intel requires a bit more effort than the rest. It’slocated in the southwest corner of the map, and you need to travel through the ruins to get to it.These ruins are on an elevated cliff, meaning you’ll have to find a way up its sheer face. Look for a rope that will help you ascend (it will belocated next to Activation Intel Four), then follow the guidestones to your final target.

While it’s completely possible to find the sanctuaries just by going to the right areas and finding guidestones,it’s a good idea to activate nearby Remnaware towers. These willmark the exact Divine Intel locationsfor you on the map, making them easier to track down.

Analyzing each piece of Divine Intelwill upgrade the materia you receivewhen you eventually defeat Kujata. These upgrades include:

How To Defeat Kujata

Now that you’ve unlocked the easiest difficulty for the boss fight and fully upgraded the materia, it’s time to take Kujata to school. The main gimmick of this fight isthe beast constantly switching between its three elemental forms, meaningits weaknesses will shift throughout the battle. You’ll want to equip materia that can counter its various states:

Yuffie is also a great option for this battle, due toher ability to switch the elements of her Ninjutsu attacks. It’s imperative that you use magic and other elemental attacks;they are required to pressure Kujata. Remember, you can’t use items in summon battles, soyou’re working with a limited pool of MP. Keep hammering the beast with its current weakness, and victory will be yours!

If Kujata is able to attune to all three of its elemental forms,it will unleash its ultimate ability: Tri-Disaster. It deals massive damage andwill likely wipe your entire partyunless you’re massively overleveled.

Slay the summon before it can unleash this attackby using magic and staggering it.
