Destroy its wings while it uses Swan Song to pressure it.
Lightning Materiais what you’ll need to strike theenemy’s weakness. As King Zu quickly soars around the battlefield,Lightning magic and ranged attacksare the only way to reliably hit the enemy.
Bring along Aerith, Barret, or Yuffie to this fightand utilize their ranged abilities.
When King Zu starts preparing Swan Song, its left and right wings will become exposed. If you fail to destroy both wings, King Zu will unleashSwan Song, a powerful attack that can eliminate your entire party.
Save at least one ATB gauge for Swan Song, thenuse Lightning magic to quickly defeat the wings.Aerith can create an Arcane Ward toallow your party to fire off two Lightning spells at once.
You could also rely onBarret’s Maximum Fury or Yuffie’s Art of Warto quickly destroy the wings.
ItsZephyr Prisonabilitycreates a ring of firearound its target, separating them from the rest of the party. However, if Barret is outside the prison, he canpull party members to safety with his Iron Defense Synergy Skill.
Many of King Zu’s attacks inflictWind-based damage, so it’sworth buffing up your resistance to Wind.Equipping someWind Materia and pairing it with the Elemental Materiaon an armor slot will do the trick.
