As you journey through the storyline ofBanishers: Ghosts Of New Eden, you’ll encounter various characters across different regions. Each encounter will reveal more about the Nightmare and its influence on New Eden. One significant character you’ll meet is the witch Siridean. Following your initial meeting, she’ll offer assistance in finding your way back to New Eden Town.
As the main narrative unfolds, you’ll eventually revisit the island where Siridean resides to meet her once more. However, this time, you’ll confront a tough boss named Aul Saul.
Aul Saul Attacks
During the fight against Aul Saul,although he is slow, he does have a range of different attacks, primarily with the sword he wields.
His first move involvesdragging his sword through the ground before charging at you and swinging it upward.
This creates an opportunity for you to land a few hits after this attack is finished.
In close combat, he often performsa swinging sword combo consisting of two to three hits.
For long-range attack,he summons a flock of ravens above his head, which attack inthree waves. Despite this,he will still execute his melee attacks simultaneously.
At around one-third health, Aul Saulteleports to a rock at the edge of the areaandconjures a magic rune on the ground,slowing your characters movements.
While on the rock,he summons additional enemies to aid him.
Upon returning to the field, he gains the ability toteleport to your location and swiftly perform a sword swing attack.
After reaching halfway through his health, Aul Saulcontinues summoning magic runesto slow your movements andsummons more enemies intermittently.
Aul Saul may raise his sword andunleash an area-of-effect damaging attack.
Aul Saul Strategy
Aul Saul moves slowly, giving you more opportunities to dodge his attacks. Your strategy shouldrevolve around hit-and-run tactics,where you approach him for a few hits and then back away to see what he does next.
His charging attack is easy to avoid because it’s slow. You can even run away from it, and after he finishes,switch to Antea and use her Leap Manifestation to close the distanceandcontinue your combo. When he swings his sword at close range,it’s time to back up to safety.
Don’t forget about Red’s Banish attack; it deals good damage, so use it when Aul Saul is close to you.
When Aul Saul summons his ravens,it’s best to wait until they finish their attacks before engaging him again.
Trying to fight him while the ravens are active is risky;they might interrupt your attacks. After the third wave of ravens,you’re free to attack him.
When he teleports to the rock,stay away from the magic rune on the ground, as it slows your movement.Focus on defeating the enemieshe summons as quickly as possible.
They’re relatively easy, much like the ones you’ve faced before in the game.
When Aul Saul is back on the field,watch out for when he teleports to you. There’s a slight delay after he teleports, souse that time to stay out of his path.
If he teleports frequently,switch to Antea and use her Ensnare Manifestation to hold him in place for a few secondsand land additional hits.
you may also use Red’s rifle to easily headshot him while he’s ensnared.
During his second teleport to the rock,again avoid the magic runeandfocus on dealing with the enemies first.
Antea’s Outburst Manifestation is effectivefor damaging them.
That’s the gist of the whole fight. Aul Saul’s movements and attacks are slow and predictable. Keep a hit-and-run strategy, be mindful of his next moves, andswitch to Antea frequently to stay alive longer. Wait for the ravens' attacks to finish before engaging him again, and remember toheal when necessary.
