There are all sorts of monsters roaming around the world ofDragon’s Dogma 2, and one of the most unassuming of these is the Slimes. They may look like an easy fight, but these voracious monsters can eat through a pack of monsters – and your party – if you don’t watch out for them.

These gooey monsters ooze around in the depths of caves, but you might find them roaming the roads too, and you had better be prepared for them if you come across one. If you aren’t careful enough, you and your pawns might end up as a Slime’s next meal.

Where To Find Slimes

Slimes are an enemy that you’llmostly find in caves, especially if there’s any water in them, as they like tohide in pools or water or in corners, so they can ambush you and your pawns.

Oily Slimecan befound exclusively in Battahl, and they’llgenerally be inside cavesin the area, whileMagma Slimesonly appear onAgamen Volcanic Island, particularly theMountain Base Cave.

How To Kill Slimes

Slimes are an enemy with relatively low health, but they make up for it by beingimmune to non-elemental attacks, similar to Phantomsand Phantasms, and having a unique method of attack:using their bodies to envelop enemies.

If a Slimetouches you, your pawns, or even an enemy, they’ll quicklydrain your stamina while slowing you downat the same time. You’ll needto run and jump repeatedly to get freeif that happens, or hit it with a magical attack.

If you or your pawnsrun out of stamina while trappedinside a Slime, your health will quickly drain, andyou will die unless the Slime is killedquickly enough.

You’ll need todamage them with elemental attacks, and these can come from a number of sources:

Hitting a Slime with magical damage willcause it to seize up and bubble, giving you or your pawns achance to escapeand making themfreeze in place temporarily.

Ice Element is particularly effectiveagainst every type of Slime, and canfreeze them in place, making it easier and more safe for everyone to attack them.

You canthrow or lead small and medium enemieslike Saurians into the Slimes andlet the Slimes kill themto get rid of enemies and keep them off you.

Slime Variants

Slimes come in three variants –Regular, Oily, and Magma– but theyall feature the same weaknessof magical damage, and immunity to physical damage.

Theonly differencebetween the three iselemental reaction that occurs with Oily Slimes, and thatMagma Slimes are immune to fire damageof any kind.

Oily Slimes willexplode when hit with any sort of Fire damage, though they still take a large amount of damage from it.
