Once you completeLast Epoch’scampaign, you get the opportunity to join the Circle of Fortune, a faction that is intended for solo self-found play. Earning XP while aligned with this faction will unlock powerful loot bonuses and Favor, a currency required to purchase Prophecies.
Prophecies are the main reward for joining the Circle of Fortune, allowing you to better target-farm certain items. Whether you need a specific Unique or great Exalted bases to craft on, Prophecies have you covered. This guide will explain what Prophecies are, how they work, and how to get the most out of this system.

What Are Prophecies?
A Prophecy is a short quest given by the Circle of Fortune that guarantees a certain reward type. When you reach the end of Chapter 8 and visit the city of Maj’Elka, you will be given the opportunity tojoin either the Circle of Fortune or the Merchant’s Guild. To access Prophecy quests, you must be a member of the Circle of Fortune.Switching to another faction will void all active Prophecies.
Once you’re a member, head to the Circle of Fortune’s observatory (press “Y” on PC and click the Observatory button) and head to the telescopes in the central chamber. This is where you’ll get to purchase Prophecy quests for your character. All Prophecies requireFavor, a currency you earn through XP. Slaying monsters and completing quests will award Favor at a reduced rate, roughly at a ratio of 1:750 XP.

You may have up to 48 Prophecies active per character.
Prophecy Types
Each telescope in the Observatory is aimed toward a specific constellation. Each one has a set reward table it can pull from:
West (Aquamarine)
For constellations that offer items, their Prophecies can dropRare, Exalted, or Unique gear.Rare Prophecies tend to drop the most items and cost the smallest amount of Favor, while Unique Prophecies cost the most. Reaching higher tiers within the Circle of Fortune will also unlock new Prophecy rewards, notably Unique items with guaranteed Legendary Potential.
Bear in mind thatPropheciescannotdrop Uniques tied to a boss' loot pool. For example, you can’t get Mad Alchemist Ladles from Exiled Mage Prophecies. Prophecy rewards are meant to quickly farm Exalted items, world drop Uniques, and crafting currencies like Runes and Glyphs.

If none of the Prophecies suit your character, you can choose torerollyour telescope for a small amount of Favor. Purchasing a Prophecy will also reroll that telescope’s offerings.
you may reroll your Prophecy choices as often as you desire, provided you have sufficient Favor.

Each Prophecy you purchase will provide a quest objective and, if applicable, a certain enemy type or activity. For example, the above Prophecy wants us to eliminate the Argentus boss within The Stolen Lance Monolith timeline. Whenever we slay Argentus, they will drop an additional three pieces of Exalted body armor. Some Prophecies have multiple uses before they disappear. For our Prophecy, we can kill Argentus up to three times before it expires.
Prophecy conditions come in four types:Monolith timelines, dungeons, campaign content, and the arena. If a Prophecy has an unlisted condition, it can be completed anywhere. Should you dislike certain conditions—for example, you dislike farming campaign content—you can use Prophecy Lenses to bias which conditions will appear for your Prophecies.

Prophecy Lenses
Prophecy Lenses can tailor your Prophecies to suit your playstyle or build requirements.Starting at Rank 2with the Circle of Fortune, Galila will sell lenses that you’re able to install into telescopes within the Observatory.Lenses come in two forms:
You’ll find Galila right beside the waypoint to the Observatory. Speak with her and click on the “Regional Lenses” or “Greater Lenses” tab to see her available lenses. Each lens costs a small amount of Favor. Once purchased, head to a telescope near the central chamber. While looking through a telescope, open your inventory and right-click on the lens.It will apply to the telescope automatically, assuming it has a slot open.

Each telescope may be affected byup to three lensesat a time. You will unlock a lens slot for each telescope at Circle of Fortune Ranks 2, 5, and 9.Lenses may be uninstalled and replaced at any time, so don’t fret if you install a suboptimal lens for your character. All lenses also scale with your Circle of Fortune Rank. To get the most out of all lens types, you’ll need to max your reputation with the Circle of Fortune.
Which Prophecy Lenses Are The Best?
Any lenses thatincrease Prophecy rewards, uses, or bias certain rarity typesare generally what you’re after. The lenses that block conditions—dungeons, Monoliths, campaign events, and arena clears—are insignificant since you’re able to simply reroll a telescope until you get Prophecy conditions that suit your preferences.
Reward lenses are a different story. TheRefracting Lens of Wealthis easily the best lens in the game. It makes your Prophecies cost more, but it doubles all rewards from that Prophecy. This stacks with the R10 Circle of Fortune bonus that duplicates Prophecy rewards, allowing you to getquadruple the rewards from a single Prophecy.you’re able to stack this lens multiple times, but you usually have better options.

Which Prophecies Are Worth Farming?
Unlike lenses, there’s no clear answer as to which Prophecies are ideal. What you choose to farm will ultimately boil down to preference or what’s most efficient. For the former, simply experiment with the Prophecy system and see which activities you find the most enjoyable.
However, if you want to be as efficient as possible, you generally want tostock up on Prophecies with the same base condition. For example, if you like running dungeons, you’ll want to buy every dungeon Prophecy you find. All dungeon tier Prophecies (T1-T4) can be completed with a single T4 dungeon clear; there’s no need to downgrade your runs. The same goes forMonolith Corruption conditions.

In our limited experience,Prophecies that award Rare or Unique items are always worth running. This is due to the Circle of Fortune’s rank bonuses. At R8, all Rares have a 25% chance of becoming Exalted, which will then apply all of CoF’s previous rank bonuses to Exalted items. And since Rare Prophecies are generally cheaper and drop more loot, they become far more efficient than Exalted Prophecies in the endgame.
Prophecies To Avoid
The only Prophecy type we recommend you avoid isSet rewards.Set items are simply not in a good spot in Last Epoch currently. Some individual set items might be useful (such as Isadora’s Tomb Binding), yet most set bonuses pale in comparison to Exalted affixes or Unique items. If you need strong leveling gear, look into creating Legendary gear instead.
