Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leagueis a live-service looter shooter through and through, but that doesn’t mean developer Rocksteady has completely forgotten its roots. Combos were the bread and butter of the Arkham series, and they return in Suicide Squad, helping you judge your combat proficiency and mastery of the game’s systems.
Building your combo doesn’t work the way it did in the Batman games, but it’s still an invaluable skill to learn and master. They form the bedrock of the Squad’s combat prowess, and understanding how they work is essential to getting the most out of your character’s builds.

What Is A Combat Combo?
Put most simply, your combat combo isthe number on the left side of your screen under the giant cross. In the Arkham games, your combo would build simply by landing hits on your opponents, but in Suicide Squad, you need to kill enemies to increase the counter.
Additionally, as you unlock more and more talents in your character’s talent tree, your combo may be increased by other factors, such as performing specific attacks or traversal moves. The max combo you can achieve at one time is 50.

Your combo is not automatically broken by taking damage, but it will decrease. As youtake shots from enemies, a combo breaker bar will appearbeneath the number. If that bar is filled up, your combo will be dropped by one. However, you can directlycombat the breaker gauge by continuing to do damageand netting kills.
How Combat Combos Work
Combos are how you activate a character’s abilities in combat. When your character levels up,some talents you purchase will have effects gated behind a combat combo of a particular number. The higher the required combo, the more powerful the ability.
For example, Harley Quinn’s “Untouchable” abilityrequires a combat combo of fiveandimproves shield capacity by 20 percentas well asshield harvest chance by 25 percent. Her “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” ability, however, requires a combo of 50anddoubles grenade damagewhilemultiplying gun damageby two and a half times.
Killing enemies and avoiding damage will activate your villain’s most powerful abilities and unleash your squad’s full destructive potential.
