InHonkai: Star Rail, many of thefour-star charactersmight seem underwhelming to most, but with theright Relicsand enough Eidolons, they can be huge powerhouses that can even outscale premium five-star characters. One of these is one of the judges of the Ten-Lords Commission of the Xianzhou Loufu, Xueyi.
This half-dead puppet girl employs mara daggers to subdue her opponents in order to gain extra time in the land of the living. She follows the path ofDestruction, and just like the name says, she can demolish everything in her path with the right team composition and game plan. If you aren’t looking to spend tons of money and Star Passes on rolling for five-star characters, then building a strong Xueyi is for you.

6Build Up Karma Stacks Quickly
Xueyi’s ability kit revolves around building herKarmastacks (displayed below her portrait on the game’s HUD) by attacking enemies’ weaknesses. Once she has filled her maximum of eight stacks, she will unleash a Quantum follow-up attack that will hit three times.
Her skill,Iniquity Obliteration, is a Blast attack that inflicts Quantum DMG on a targeted enemy, and then the adjacent enemies receive half of the DMG dealt. Since her skill can hit up to three enemies, this can net Xueyi up to three stacks of Karma.

As long as your other party members hit an enemy weakness, Xueyi will continue storing Karma stacks.
Enemy attacks will only grant Xueyi a single stack even if they attack multiple enemies.

5Pair Xueyi With Characters That Complement Her Ability
It may seem obvious, especially if you’ve played Honkai: Star Rail before, but especially when playing Xueyi, it is crucial to pair her with characters at an elemental advantage against enemies.
Xueyi greatly benefits from targeting weaknesses, so the faster she can build her Karma stacks, the more DMG she will be able to output.

Silver Wolf is one of the best characters to pair with Xueyi since she can inflict any type of weakness on your enemies with her skill,Allow Changes?
Unlike hypercarry characters like Seele or Jingliu, Xueyi works best as part of a team that can contribute to her high damage output.

4Max Out Her Break Effect
you may overlook maxing out different characters' preferred stats since their kits give them specific buffs to aid their Relic’s shortcomings, but with Xueyi, you’ll want to make sure she has the highest Break Effect % stat that you can possibly get.
Don’t worry too much about matching Relic sets, as the raw stats that come from them are far more important than the set boosts.

Her kit relies on constantly breaking your enemies' weakness and, since her ATK stat isn’t all that great compared to the five-star DPS characters in the game, you’ll want to make sure she can fill the niche that she is meant for.
3Manage Your Skill Points Wisely
Xueyi’s basic attack can give her a Karma stack, but the most efficient way to gain them is through her skill. This means using Xueyi on your team will require you to allocate plenty of your skill points towards her turn.
She will most likely be using her skill every single turn to maximize her Karma stacks. Characters likeKafkaor other skill-dependent characters might not be the best match to pair with Xueyi, but debuffers like Pela, who only need to use their skill once every couple of turns, will be some of the best team compositions you can form with Xueyi.
2Make Sure Xueyi Deals The Final Break Hit
Every element in Honkai: Star Rail has different properties they can apply when they deal the final blow to an enemy’s Toughness bar. When hit with Quantum DMG, enemies will receive additional Quantum DMG and becomeEntangled.
When enemies are Entangled, they will receive additional DMG from all incoming sources, making them the perfect target for Xueyi’s follow-up attacks. If Xueyi is the only Quantum member in your party, it’s worth taking your time to plan your attacks to ensure she deals the final hit and applies the Quantum Weakness Break.
1Eidolons Matter
It is quite an obvious thing that Eidolons make every character far more powerful, but this is especially true for Xueyi. Her first Eidolon,Devsha, Inhibited, increases her follow-up attack DMG by 40%, but her second Eidolon is the most important one.
Her second Eidolon,Klesha, Breached, turns her follow-up attack into one that ignores all enemies’ weaknesses. With this Eidolon, Xueyi will be able to break enemies far more efficiently, in almost every team composition, and against most enemy types, without a worry about elemental affinity.
Luckily, Xueyi is a four-star character, meaning that you’ll most likely be able to pull dupes of her while pulling for your favorite five-star.
Xueyi has been featured on banners alongside Blade and Ruan Mei, so be on the lookout for whenever those come back if you’re looking for extra Eidolons.
