Sure, you canwhip out a railgunand decimate bosses, or take on hordes of enemies with the stalwart, but a fewHelldivers 2players are tossing weapons aside for something more unorthodox - supply drops and landing pods.

One squad dropped all at once, aiming their landing pods at the same Bile Titan. This carefully coordinated attack completely crushed the boss, leaving them to crawl out from the wreckage without having to so much as aim their weapons, all while completing the mission.

Another player, SirStarWolf, lured a Titan into their supply drop beam so that when it arrived, it flung down with such an impact that itdecapitatedthe enemy.

Landing solo can be as deadly as hurling yourself at enemies with a group, as shown by eatmymonkey’s clip. It even looks like they took out a charger mid-hatch, saving their squad some hassle in the process of deploying.

You should probablycall in a supply drop if you’re out of ammo, but JimJamJohnston didn’t do it to restock. As they ran from a Bile Titan with only a few bullets left, they lured it directly into the beam, crushing it and completing the mission in one fell swoop.

You can also use supply drops in a pinch to take out generic enemies, not just bosses. As shown by carlosjohnston123 on the game’s subreddit, a precisely placed resupply can save you ammo while you wait to refill your reserves.

Landing pods and supply drops are clearly useful beyond their main utility, able to help turn the tide of battle and unleash democracy with a heavy handing of ammunition, but there are some cases where hurling these shells doesn’t work out.

YouTuber Eldwin Artarian decided to land on their ship during the extraction. Instead of making for a quick board, they bugged the shuttle so that other players couldn’t see it and would simply clip through where it was supposed to be. When the extraction cutscene played, it flung itself under the map and zoomed through the ground before finally leaving the atmosphere.

At any rate, landing on enemies and resupplying on top of Titans is the way to go, just make sure you leave the shuttle alone.
