Helldivers 2tasks players with just a single mission - protect our glorious homeland from any invading threat. Sure, we have Major Orders to complete, but they serve that one single mission to make sure that no harm befalls Super Earth. However, despite our unquestioning dedication to the planet we call home, not many Helldivers out there can say they’ve seen it.
That’s why when someone does get a rare glimpse of Super Earth, we should cherish the experience, as Reddit user Drakenhorn has somehow managed to park their Super Destroyer right above the planet and has shared an image of the view on the Helldivers 2 subreddit.
While the view from Drakenhorn is quite breathtaking, with the planet’s surface lit up with the lights of urban areas against the darkness of the night sky, most people are just wondering how the heck they got there in the first place. Helldivers 2 players will know that once a planet is liberated, you can’t actually travel to it, and since Super Earth has never been invaded, they shouldn’t have been able to park their Super Destroyer above the planet.
According to Drakenhorn, they didn’t intentionally travel to Super Earth, rather they were plopped there by the game after they accidentally glitched out during the tutorial mission. They logged out during the mission, and upon logging back in, they found themselves standing in their Super Destroyer above our beloved homeland, with some speculating it could be one of the game’s failsafes if you’re forced to log out and the game doesn’t know where to put you.
What makes this image of Super Earth so interesting is that it’s actually quite detailed, especially given it’s a planet that is impossible to see for the majority of players. Some think that it’s either a sign that Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead is just exceptional when it comes to attention to detail, but others have much more foreboding theories, claiming this is proof we’ll be fighting on Super Earth in the near future, and that the war could actually be lost.
Those thoughts are clearly treasonous though, and such hypotheticals should never be discussed. Instead, soldiers should get back to fighting back the Terminid menace, as one player recentlyran into a Charger that could fly. Granted, it was actually a horrible glitch which looked to have fused a Charger and a Shrieker together, but you never know what the Terminids will throw at us next, and we need every soldier fighting for sweet liberty.
