There’s a wealth of activities to delve into while playingFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth, especially if you’re looking to broaden your experience beyond the main storyline. From engaging in side quests and exploring world intel to diving into mini-games, including a new card game, there’s no shortage of content to enjoy across the game’s diverse regions.
As you progress to the Gongaga region, you’ll already be familiar with the routine of completing world intel tasks. Among these tasks are the intriguing Phenomenon intel missions, which lead you through a series of peculiar challenges and quests before you can acquire another piece of the Protorelic.
Gongaga Region - Phenomenon Intel 1: Training Facility V-B
As soon as you reach the Gongaga regionafter wrapping up in Corel, you’ll encounterthe first mark of the Phenomenon Intel in this region,located at the very south. Upon reaching the location, you’ll come acrossan abandoned facility.
Head west of the facilityto findan entrance with stairs leading down. Descend all the way and trigger a cutscene. Following the cutscene,you’ll need to complete a VR mission, similar to those with Chadley, to complete the location.
Before interacting with the terminal,ensure that you have the party you want to use active, as it will use your current party, so make any necessary preparations beforehand.
The VR mission consists ofthree rounds of basic enemies that you’ve already encountered before. Once you’ve dealt with them, you’ll receive the location for your second Phenomenon Intel to investigate.
Don’t forget to interact with the chest in the area to obtain an extra reward.
Gongaga Region - Phenomenon Intel 2: Training Facility A-D
The second training facility is locatedsoutheast of the Gongaga village, and reaching it can be a bit tricky. To get there,fast travel to the Activation Intel 2: Old Pipeline Tower. In front of the tower,you’ll see a rope that you can climb.
At the top,use the nearby mushroom with the help of your Chocobo to jump to the other side, where you’ll findanother rope to descend.
At the bottom, you’ll arrive at another training facility similar to the first one. Interact with the terminal and complete the combat simulator mission.
During the ensuing cutscene, you’ll be presented with a choice, and you might want to pickInterrogate him.
Once again, you’ll facethree rounds of basic enemies. It’s nothing too challenging; justremember to have your favorite party active, and don’t forget to claim the chest once you complete the fight.
Gongaga Region - Phenomenon Intel 3: Training Facility W-T
After completing the second facility, you’ll receive the location of the third one, which issituated to the northeast of the region. This one is easier to reach, as you can simplyuse the road from the dock to make your way there.
Once again, there’s nothing new here. Interact with the terminal, defeat the enemies, collect your rewards, and move on to the final facility.
Gongaga Region - Phenomenon Intel 4: Training Facility B-T
For the final training facility,head east to where there are some ruins. If you have unlocked the Chocobo stop there,simply fast travel to it and progress north to reach the facility.
While the process remains the same, this timeyou’ll need to defeat Rude and Elenafor your final challenge. Preparation is crucial here, as these two are essentially a boss fight.
Make sure tohave your healing materiaready anda tank-like character such as Barret. The fight works similarly to when you encountered them earlier in the game during your time in the Mythril Mine.
