Summary

Whenever someone brings up The Nightmare Before Christmas, the debate over whether it’s a Halloween or a Christmas movie is usually revived. I always say why not both, but one thing I’ve never considered theDisneyclassic to be is a summer flick.Funkoappears dead set on changing that as it revealed some new summer-themed Nightmare Before ChristmasFunko Popsthis week as well as some plushes to match.

Not best known for its plushes, Funko’s new Nightmare Before Christmas offerings put three of the movie’s lead characters in summer gear, their designs based on how the characters look in Pop! form. Jack is wearing a stripy swimsuit and a straw hat to keep the sun off, Sally’s plush is also wearing a hat but with a wider brim, and the two of them will be joined by Jack’s trusty dog Zero whose plush will be bringing a frisbee with him for their trip to the beach.

While the Nightmare Before Christmas trio has also been turned into beachwear Funko Pops, they have been forced to share two figures between them rather than getting one each of their own as is the case with the plushes. Sally has her own Funko Pop!, complete with sunglasses and a bucket of sand with a bone sticking out of it. Jack’s figure matches its summer plush and has a little Zero Pop! that comes along with it, propped up on a stand to make it look like the loyal ghost dog is floating.

Where To Buy Funko’s New Nightmare Before Christmas Plushes

All five of the new Nightmare Before Christmas items have been added to Amazon, the Pops priced at $12.99, and the plushes a penny cheaper at $12.98. They don’t have their own individual store pages yet, but you may place your pre-orders throughtheir shared Amazon page. The only caveat is that the plushes only seem to have placeholders. That means even though you can add their pre-orders to your cart, there are no pictures or descriptions so there’s no way of knowing which plush it is you’re buying.

If you plan on picking up all three then this isn’t a problem as you’re able to just pre-order one of each. If you don’t want them all then you might want to wait until the plushes have fleshed-out store pages so you don’t end up ordering the wrong one. The Pops have release dates of June 17 attached, whereas the plushes have a December 31 label. While not confirmed, it seems likely that date is just a placeholder and the plushes will actually be released a lot sooner than that, their release dates likely revealed when the store pages are completed.
