One of the most identifiable parts of theStar Warsseries is The Force. The Force is what gives a Jedi their power. It’s an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together. Or… it’s a superpower received from a high count of midi-chlorians in your blood.

Whatever you want to believe The Force is, it allows a Jedi, or a force-powered individual to do some incredible things. Like pushing foes, levitating objects, and even tricking simple-minded people. In video games, however, The Force as a concept has been pushed and expanded upon, granting those able to use it with even more unique powers and abilities.

7Force Burst & Force Destruction– Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles

In Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles you battle droids and enemiesprimarily with lightsabers, but also a few Force powers. One power utilized by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn was a Force Burst, an offensive power that isn’t seen in any other Star Wars property.

A Force Burst has the Jedi charging up, then shooting an orb of energy that seeks its target. A rival force power can then knock it off track, block it, or dissipate it entirely. The game also had Force Destruction, a very similar, darker version of the power.

Video games need ways of allowing you to receive damage without immediately dying. Especially if it’s an action-orientated game. InStar Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, a Force power called Force Aura did this. This power would later become Force Shield and then Force Armour when upgraded.

The power grants you a temporary buff to your defense stats, allowing you to take more damage than normal. It acts as a shield, basically. The power doesn’t appear in any of the Star Wars movies or TV shows, and is only ever present in this game and a couple of others like it, but not always under the same name.

InStar Wars: The Force Unleashed, one of the abilities you can do is Force Repulse, and a similar one called Force Maelstrom. Here, you rise into the air and gather a substantial amount of energy and then unleash it in a wave that takes down several enemies surrounding you.

The Force Unleashed was renownedfor its use of The Force. With exaggerated power and ability, you could do things that were far grander and more awe-inspiring than the powers seen in the movies and TV shows. This power is just one example of the mighty things you can do.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Emperor Palpatine

Palpatine is one of the strongest Force users in the Star Wars series. He’s capable of a lot of things. InStar Wars: Battlefront 2, he can use a power called Dark Aura, which unleashes a whirlwind of devastation across the battlefield.

When using Dark Aura, a tornado-like whirlwind follows Palpatine’s every move, unleashing carnage on all opponents who you happen upon. It’s very powerful, very capable, and very frustrating to be on the opposite end of.

TheStar Wars Jedigames focus a lot on platforming, jumping and climbing to different locations, finding secrets, or shortcuts. One of the Force powers you unlock that can help achieve this is Force Dash.

Force Dash allows Cal Kestis to rush forward, to out of reach ledges or areas while in midair. It’s one of the more outlandish Force Powers in a Star Wars game, defying physics and gravity. But it does allow for some fun platforming and gaming.

2Destroy Droid & Stun Droid - Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic

Force users in the Star Wars movies and TV shows do combat with a large variety of foes, many of which are droids. The Force users also use The Force to take down droids in combat, but no specific powers exist in the official canon for taking down such enemies.

In Knights of the Old Republic, Destroy Droid is a power that specifically targets and damages droids and turrets. Meanwhile, Stun Droid stuns them and then damages them for a short period of time, allowing a slight advantage in combat.

One skill that can be utilized in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2:The Sith Lordsis stealth. you’re able to sneak around, avoid combat, or attack an unaware enemy. This skill is enhanced by the use of a stealth field generator, but if you don’t have one, or cannot use one, the force can be used instead.

Force Camouflage allows the Force-using character to sneak around without the use of technology. It’s generous too, because it lasts as long as you want it to — unless you get caught.
