One of the earliest side quests you will unlock inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthtakes place in the Grasslands region, specifically Bill’s Chocobo Ranch. Down in the mud over some justified emotional baggage, Chloe and Billy could surely use your help assembling a flower wreath.
That’s where Aerith comes in. She’s up to the task, no doubt; and it’s a perfect opportunity for Cloud to deepen his friendship (or more) with the flower girl from the slums. Follow along with our Flowers from the Hill guide to help Aerith make the best wreath that Bill’s kids will have ever seen.
How To Begin Flowers On The Hill
You won’t have to veer far off the beaten path to get started with this side quest, sinceyour client is Chloe, one of Bill’s grandkids back at the Chocobo Ranch. You’ll meet her during the main story -just head back to the ranch anytime after getting Piko.
If Chloe doesn’t have agreen side quest iconover her head immediately after you’ve acquired your chocobo, check back once you’ve taken a few steps into the swamp. you’re able to alsointeract with the Community Board in Kalm.
Speak with Chloeto learn about aflower wreath that she’d like to make. This is easier said than done, though; thankfully,Aerith says she’ll help build the wreath. We’re only missing one thing: the flowers themselves.
Pick The Proper Flowers
You canuse the dialogue wheel to ask for further detailsabout Chloe’s plan. You should! It’s information you won’t have otherwise. It won’t do much to point you in the right direction, however;the mini-map does a fine job giving you broad directionsin its own right.
But there’s a decent chance youhaven’t yet explored thewasteland outside Midgar. You’ll be heading up there to complete Flowers from the Hill, and now’s as good a time as any, sincethe Lifeline in Peril side quest is also in this area.
There are several enemies in the Grasslands' wasteland section that you won’t find prowling in the fields. They tend tohit a bit harder, but they’renearly all weak to an element. Remember to build up your stockpile of Assessed foes!
The flower field will bepast the long tube-like cement tunnelsclose to the northernmost portion of the map. When you arrive,press left on the directional pad to consult the wreath drawing. Your goal is tocreate the wreath that best represents the colors here.
The trick, if we can classify it as such, is that the illustration makes it appear as though there are more red flowers than white or (especially) yellow flowers. Butyou only have room for three bundles, and each color must be accounted for. In other words, you need to pluck:

Make The Wreath
All that’s left is toreturn to Chloe and watch the ensuing cutscene. You’ll gain EXP and Party EXP regardless of your choice, butCloud’s affinity rating toward Aerith will increaseso long as the wreath is made with the proper colors.
As a bonus, you will obtainTelluric Scriptures, Vol. I, which grants10 SPto Aerith. These are more numerous in Rebirth than Remake, but SP is still fairly scarce, so treasure them every time you snag one!
