Summary
If you’ve been trying to getFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth’scoveted platinum trophy over the past few days, you’ll more than likely have run into the Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop side quest bug. Last month, players noticed that the G-Bike minigame wasn’t giving out prizes for beating the Shinra Middle Manager’s high score, making the quest impossible to complete, thuslocking players out of the platinum trophy.
Earlier this month, Square Enix told players that it was working on a fix for this bug and that itwould be rolled out with the next patch, but didn’t provide them with a date on exactly when that would be. Thankfully, we weren’t waiting for very long, as the new patch for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth dropped earlier today, including a fix for the Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop quest.

That means if that pesky side quest was the last thing you needed to do to grab your platinum trophy, you’ll have to go to the Golden Saucer and school the Shinra Middle Manager at the G-Bike Minigame again to grab your hard-earned reward. All of you who chose to simply uninstall the game and stay offline to keep the base version of the game, you may now safely update the game knowing your progress to the platinum won’t be halted by the bug.
What Else Has Changed With Patch 1.030?
Not much else was added/changed with this patch, seeing as though it feels like an emergency one to get that side quest fixed, but fans have noticed that a very small detail has been altered regarding the lovable Shinra mascot Stamp. It’s a widely held theory that the breed of dog featured in Stamp stickers and graffiti changes depending on the universe players are in, and many were shocked to see a terrier version of Stamp in Junon.
We know that Stamp is a terrier in the universe in which Zack is still alive, so it’s popping up in Junon in Cloud’s universe surprised a lot of people and led to all kinds of wild theories. However, it seems as though it was just a mistake on Square Enix’s part, asStamp has been changed back to a beaglein both Junon and the Golden Saucer, in which a second terrier Stamp was found. People are alsoarguing about Zack being dirtier now, so there’s that too.
