While most of the vocations in the game may feel familiar to those from the first installment, the Trickster introduces a completely new playstyle, accompanied by its special weapon, the censer. In this guide, we’ll cover everything you need to know about the Trickster vocation, including its strengths, weaknesses, and all the skills you can unlock and utilize in the game.

The Trickster vocation is exclusive to the Arisenand cannot be used by their pawn.
Strengths And Weaknesses Of The Trickster Vocation
Strengths
TheTrickstervocation isall about support, allowing you to manipulate and deceive your enemies to gain an advantage. You cantrick your foes into fighting each otheror engaging with a clone of yourself. Additionally, you cancreate illusionary walls and floors to confuse and mislead your enemies, leading them to their downfall.
Playing as a Trickster adds a strategic layer to gameplay, requiring planning and coordination with your party for effective execution, especially in situational fights.

Bysummoning a clone of yourself, you candistract enemiesand usesmoke to draw their focus away from your party members, leaving them vulnerable to attacks. The Trickster can alsoenhance your pawns' abilities, enabling them to deal more damage at the expense of some health.
It can be a fun vocation that offers numerous creative strategies for defeating enemies, such as luring them to jump off cliffs or manipulating them with various smoke-based skills.

Weaknesses
The Trickster vocation poses a significant challenge becauseyou don’t deal direct damage, which can be a major drawback. Mastering the Trickster isparticularly difficult, especially if you’re accustomed to dealing damage to enemies.
Instead, you’ll heavily rely on illusions to deceive foes and maintain distance,often leaving the fighting to your pawns.

Furthermore, Tricksters typically havelower defensecompared to other advanced vocations. So, without a strong party of pawns to support you, survival can be incredibly challenging.
It’s definitelynot a beginner-friendly vocationand requires time and practice to play effectively.
Trickster Weapon Skills
All of the Trickster’s skills revolve aroundcreating illusionsto deceive enemies orusing smoke to tauntanddistractthem from you and your party.
Aromatic Resurgence
Disperses incense in the vicinity, enhancing the offensive prowess of allies it reaches and enabling them to continue fighting even if their Health depletes. However, allies' Health gradually decreases while the effect is active.
Delusory Screen
Illusive Divider
Separates the caster’s spirit from their physical body by inhaling a unique incense. The spirit can be directed and utilized to scout distant areas without being noticed. Consumes Stamina while active.
Visitant Aura
Detaches caster’s spirit from their physical form by inhaling a peculiar incense. Spirit can be controlled, and used to scout distant places undetected. Consumes Stamina while in use.
Tricky Terrace
Creates an illusionary platform that can be placed in locations lacking footholds, like mid-air. Can lure hostile targets towards an unforeseen drop.
Binding Effigy
Propels a simulacrum summoned with Effigial Incense towards a distant target and assumes control of it. The simulacrum vanishes if it fails to hit its intended target.
Fragrant Alarum
Enshrouds the caster in special smoke that detects nearby hostile targets.
Suffocating Shroud
Scatters smoke over a wide area, capturing the attention of any targets within reach.
If Effigial Incense has been used, targets will fixate on the simulacrum instead.
Trickster Core Skills
The Trickster has more core skills than other vocations, with most of themrevolving around the simulacrumthey summon using Effigial Incense.
They heavily rely on the simulacrum in battle to deceive enemies and divert their focus away from the Trickster itself.
Effect
Beveiling Fumes
Swings the censer, enveloping targets in smoke and diverting attention to the caster.
Effigial Incense
Summons a simulacrum, an illusion identical to the caster, that attracts the focus of hostile targets.
Disperses if consistently under attack or if it moves too far from the caster.
Can also be used while grappling or restraining a foe.
Enthralling Aroma
Takes control of a hostile target with a simulacrum of the caster, prompting enemies to attack each other.
Mending Vapor
Gradually heals damage suffered by a simulacrum while calling it back to the caster.
Drifting Brume
The user swings the censer to conjure a cloud of smoke before releasing it towards targets.
This smoke can reach nearby targets, drawing their attention once engulfed.
Effigial Quickburn
Speeds up the process of creating a simulacrum when casting Effigial Incense.
Trailing Aroma
Increases the range at which a simulacrum created with Effigial Incense can travel away from the caster.
Trickster Augments
Augments function as aset of passive skills, and each vocation can unlock five of them. However, you can only equip a total of eight at once.
Detection
It notifies you about the presence of any Seeker’s Tokens or Wakestone shards nearby through both sound and blinking lights.
Enlightenment
When combining materials, there’s a chance you’ll create an additional product.
Fugacity
Reduces the chances of encountering hostile enemies while camping or traveling in an oxcart.
Obfuscation
Reduces the chances of hostile targets detecting you when you’re not in a battle stance.
Allure
Helps you build and raise your affinity with others more effortlessly.
