Sparkle Gems are the key to fully completingPrincess Peach Showtime, while you’ll need a lot of them to even unlock some of the later game bosses. Here, we’ll help you get all of the Kung Fu Sparkle Gems, but we’ve got a guide on each and every other costume too.
Every Sparkle Gem In Princess Peach: Showtime
Kung Fu Peach is the last ensemble you unlock, not appearing until the fourth floor when most looks have already had at least two outings. That means all three of its levels have some challenge to them, but we’ll help you navigate them like a master.
Every Sparkle Gem in A Kung Fu Tale
Since A Kung Fu Tale is a first stage level (despite being on floor four), Peach starts in her basic dress and ribbon, so will need to rely on them as much as her well-timed kicks to grab all the Gems.
A Kung Fu Tale Sparkle Gem 1
When you head through the first gates and fight the first set of enemies, head into the dojo and go right where the Gem is hidden behind a wall.
A Kung Fu Tale Sparkle Gem 2
After getting the Kung Fu Sparkle, break the second training tool so the Gem on top becomes reachable. This will not appear until you have the Kung Fu Sparkle.
A Kung Fu Tale Sparkle Gem 3
Instead of breaking down the red gates immediately, smash the two boulders to the left to free the kung fu student, who gives you a Gem in gratitude.
A Kung Fu Tale Sparkle Gem 4
This unmissable Gem is a reward for beating the boss in the mid-level skirmish.
A Kung Fu Tale Sparkle Gem 5
In the section where the bandits fight under the market stalls, avoid kicking the stalls to make them crash down. Though this will kill the bandits, you need to jump onto the stalls to reach the fifth Gem - use the red cart as your first platform.
A Kung Fu Tale Sparkle Gem 6
Collect the various fragments from the podiums to form a Gem as you leap across the gap and avoid the enemies. Be sure to grab the ones at the back first as these will disappear.
A Kung Fu Tale Sparkle Gem 7
When crossing the gap on the red poles, defeat every enemy to get the Gem here. You must defeat them all - just making it past will not get a Gem.
A Kung Fu Tale Sparkle Gem 8
Behind the second orange pole just after the gap there is a corner ledge. Pose here using ZL to go to the hidden area. In here, jump to another pole and jump off immediately to leap to the Gem. It can be confusing as you get Gem 9’s fragments before this one, but you will earn Gem 8 and then Gem 9 if the steps are done in the correct order.

A Kung Fu Tale Sparkle Gem 9
The first tall orange pole just after the gap has four Gem fragments around its lower half then, as you climb up the ledge and double back, four Gem fragments at its top half too. Grab the pole and spin around to get all eight.
A Kung Fu Tale Sparkle Gem 10
This Gem is unmissable and is rewarded for defeating the final boss. Time your attacks with the orange rings in this fight.
Every Sparkle Gem In A Kung Fu Legend
Since you don’t unlock Kung Fu Peach until the fourth floor, that means you get the second level right afterwards on the fifth floor. The challenge kicks up again, but with this guide you’ll find every Sparkle Gem without issue.
Before you even go through the first door, head around the far corner to find the ribbon collector.Remember we have a guide to all 30 hidden ribbons too.
A Kung Fu Legend Sparkle Gem 1
When making your way through the first building, defeat the final bandit and free the student to collect the first Gem.
A Kung Fu Legend Sparkle Gem 2
Beat the boss in and hand to hand fight by tapping B as the orange circle shrinks to get the second Gem of the level.
A Kung Fu Legend Sparkle Gem 3
This unmissable Gem comes when you rescue the second student as you climb through the tower fighting off the bandits.
A Kung Fu Legend Sparkle Gem 4
After dropping into the third building and spinning around the orange pole, go to the upper left corner and pose with ZL to access the hidden area. In here, grab each horizontal bar to reach the Sparkle Gem at the top.
A Kung Fu Legend Sparkle Gem 5
This unmissable Gem comes immediately after the fourth Gem by rescuing the third student by reaching the bottom of the orange pole.

After this, climb up the orange pole by jumping off to the horizontal bars then jumping back. You can head into this room at the top for a stack of coins, but riding down the second pole will allow you to collect the fragments to get the next Gem.

Defeat the boss at the end of the level to free the fourth student and grab the final Gem. Now it’s time for the ultimate kung fu challenge in the basement.
Every Sparkle Gem in The Dark School & Twisted Fist
In this final challenge, you’ll be rescuing the Kung Fu Sparkla through a series of intense, montage-worthy kung fu challenges. Danger lurks around every corner, but danger should fear you, also lurking around the corner. One of you needs to stop lurking and start moving otherwise it will be an eternal stalemate
The Dark School & Twisted Fist Sparkle Gem 1
Instead of going forward as you might expect at the start of the level, instead go deeper into the screen and jump onto the ledge in the background, then up onto the next level to grab the Gem. Note that this disappears once you go forward, so you can’t backtrack for it.
The ribbon collector is also near the start. Behind a large boulder on the first red podium, he is trapped awaiting Peach’s powerful kicks - see where else he got himself lost in our hidden ribbon guide here.
The Dark School & Twisted Fist Sparkle Gem 2
At the end of the walkway where the red steps lead forward, stand on the dark tiles in the corner and pose with ZL. This takes you to a hidden area with a long vertical pole you can climb by jumping to different horizontal bars, and a Gem at the top.
The Dark School & Twisted Fist Sparkle Gem 3
Just after you go up these red stairs, jump up on top of the fence to the left to grab a well-hidden Gem before fighting the bandits.
The Dark School & Twisted Fist Sparkle Gem 4
After fighting the bandits on the red poles, jump along to the right and leap up each pole to the Gem at the top.
The Dark School & Twisted Fist Sparkle Gem 5
This final Gem is earned for freeing the Kung Fu Sparkla from the boss at the end of the level by deflecting his (legally distinct) Hadoukens back at him by kicking as the circle flashes orange. With that, I have no more to teach you. Unless you need the other Sparkle Gems, or something.
