Final Fantasy 7 Rebirthbrings players on a whirlwind tour of a whopping six major regions within the classic game’s beloved world of Gaia. The first among them is the Grasslands, a region comprised of the verdant fields surrounding Kalm, plus the wastelands between Kalm and Midgar, and the swampland which leads to the Mythril Mine.
In other words, FF7 Rebirth tosses us straight into a sizable place. There’s plenty to do, and we’ll break it all down. Every cache and chocobo treasure is covered as well - or at least, we strive to cover them all! Here’s everything we’ve found.

All Grasslands World Intel Locations
From Fiend to Classified, Expedition to Excavation, every Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth region has plenty of categories ofWorld Intel to uncover.Behold our findings:here’s where you’ll discover them all.
We’re not covering the locations ofRemnawave Towers, mind you. They’re always marked on the mapfrom the get-go, after all, so you’ll know exactly where you’ll find ‘em.

Lifesprings
The beautiful reservoirs of Gaia’s mystical Lifestream, there are six Lifesprings to be found in the Grasslands. This category is calledExpedition Intel. Finding the Lifesprings is necessary in order tolearn the locations of Upgrade Chips.
Cragshade Lifespring
TheCragshade Lifespringis locateddue north of Bill’s Chocobo Ranch, south of the river inlet.
Wetlands Lifespring
You’ll find theWetlands Lifespring directly west of the Swamplands Tower, near the edge of the swamp itself. Look for aclimbing spot at the end of a beaten path.
Morass Lifespring
TheMorass Lifespringiswest of the Wetlands Lifespring, on the opposite side of the swamp; at the shoreline, you’ll spot the ruins of abuilding with several floors of stairs to climb. Do so, and you’ll arrive in the vicinity.
Grasswastes Lifespring
Grasswastes Lifespring’ssoutheast of Kalm and just west of Fiend Intel 4. Directly across from Fiend Intel 4 isPlains Tower.
Mako Pipeline Lifespring
TheMako Pipeline Lifespringis, fittingly, near thesoutheastern stretch of the Mako Pipeline in the wasteland portionof the Grasslands map - which is to say, the big dead area closer to Midgar.
Cavern Lifespring
The final Lifespring in the Grasslands, theCavern Lifespring, is a bitwest of the Quetzalcoatl (Classified Intel) arena. This is also in the wastelands portion,at bottom-centerof it.
Fiends
Dangerous fiends spotted! With help from MAI,you’ll slay six rare fiendsin the Grasslands, followed bya seventh, super-powered, monster. The first six are known asFiend Intel, while the last - Quetzalcoatl, which we have a guide for- isClassified Intel.
Classified Intel is always marked on your map upon unveiling, so you won’t need to worry about searching for it, either!

Fiend Intel 1: Voracious And Venomous
The very first Fiend Intel in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth isslightly northeast of Cragshade Lifespring, right at the edge of the shoreline.
Fiend Intel 2: Bearer of Grudges
Start at theChocobo Intel tracks. Then, travel the road leading southeastall the way to its end. Nicely,Fiend Intel 2: Bearer of Grudgesis situated here at the end of the road.
Fiend Intel 3: Keepers of the Burrow
From theAbandoned Dock(where the party learns they’ll require chocobos to cross the swamp), ride your way to thenorth portion of the landmass due west.
Justacross the river from the Plains Tower, you’ll findWailing Weed.
Fiend Intel 5: Picky Eater
This one isslightly northwest of the Mako Pipeline Lifespring, crading the south side of the Mako Pipeline running parallel across the wasteland’s right side.
Fiend Intel 6: Voltaic Canine
The final Fiend Intel,Voltaic Canine, is actually quite close to theMidgar Checkpointat the end of the road stretching westbound from Kalm. That said, it’sbelow the road,so you will need to be at ground level.
Shrines
Referred to asDivine Intel, there arethree shrines in every region. The Grasslands is no exception.Finding shrines unlocks weaker versions of the Titan battle, which will surely aid you in your mission to obtain summons. They alsopower up the summons themselves.
Divine Intel 1
If you look at thenorthern coastline, you’ll see that there arefour finger-like extensions of land, with three on the left and a final,thumb-like extension on the right. Toward the base of the ‘thumb’,just off the road,isTitan’s first shrine.
Divine Intel 2
In theswamp, there aretwo long gates stretching overhead. To thewest of where they intersect, near the northernmost bit of the swamp, liesTitan’s second shrine.
Divine Intel 3
Thefarthest southwest you can venture in the wasteland near MidgarhousesTitan’s third shrine.
Caches
Surely among the hardest stuff to unveil, caches are never marked on your map, even when you find Remnawave Towers as part of theActivation Intelcategory. Our screenshots should help, but we’ll provide directions as well, in case you’re able to’t view the pics!
Forgotten Treads
West of Bill’s Chocobo Ranchis a lone mountain. On theopposite side of the mountain(closer to Kalm) is theForgotten Treads cache.
Jadewind Hill
Take the road leadingwest and slightly south from Bill’s Chocobo Ranchand you’ll find theJadewind Hill cachenear theMogstool.
Thresher Waterwheel
If youtravel due west from where you first exit Kalm, you’ll find theThresher Waterwheel cacheon the opposite side of the first stream.
Grassy Viaduct
You really can’t miss theGrassy Viaduct cacheonce you’ve located the Thresher Waterwheel’s -it’s on the far side of the top of the waterwheel.
Mako Pipe Junction
Roughlycenter in the wastelands and a little north, theMako Pipe Junction cachecan be foundbeside one of the Mako Pipes, east of a nearby Chocobo Stop.
Marshy Mire
Marshy Mire cacheis on the ground portion of theswamp, at itssouthwest corner.
Mistveil Reservoir
And once you’ve found the Marshy Mire cache, theMistveil Reservoir cacheis justnorthof it, near a Titan shrine and Lifespring.
Buried Treasure
The other tough time, buried treasure isn’t marked on the map, either. You’ll know you’re nearby whenyour chocobo senses something, which causes a question mark to appear on the screen.
Finding Upgrade Chips follows the same formula, butsince Upgrade Chips are marked, you’ll be notified of their locations by default.

North (and Northeast) of Oliver’s Farm
FromOliver’s Farm, check thefields to the northfor a pair of buried treasures.
South of the Swamplands Shrine
Head to theTitan Shrine in the swamp. From there, cross the water and search the shoreline just to the south.
North of the Bearer of Grudges
Go toFiend Intel 2: Bearer of Grudges’ location. Keep headingnorthuntil your chocobo notices something’s up.
Northwest of Mako Pipeline Lifespring
Our starting point this time is theMako Pipeline Lifespring. Hop on chocoback, and explore to thenorthwest. Well, we reckon the title of this one gave it all away!
Northeast of Grasslands Port
This one’s a little trickier than titling, since you might not have found theGrasslands Portyet when you read this. It’s situatedas far west as you can go on the Grasslands map, in thewastelands area. Once you’ve found it, well, you guessed it - headnortheast!
Mogstool
Mogstools are the homes of moogles, and you will want to meet them so that you canunlock the Moogle Emporiumand its subsequent tiers. Each tier adds new items, kupo! In the Grasslands, you’ll find your first Mogstool, thus unlocking theEmporium’s first tier.
The Grasslands Mogstool can be foundsouthwest of Bill’s Chocobo Ranch. It’s a pretty easy - and quick - jaunt, so you shouldn’t have much trouble!

Chocobo Stops
AtChocobo Stops, Cloud will be prompted tohold triangle in front of fallen signs. Once they’re fixed, these fast travel points function as places where you can use a Cushion item to rest.
here are plenty in every region, anda baby chocobo will lead you to them, but you need to be in the vicinity of one to bump into that baby in the first place.

Pardon our dust! We’re still wark-ing on documenting every Chocobo Stop in the FF7 Rebirth Grasslands region, but we promise not to kweh-t while we’re ahead. See you soon with an update!
