As part of the main storyline inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth, your party arrives at Costa del Sol and decides to take a brief respite from their journey in pursuit of Sephiroth. In this bustling location, there are plenty of activities, mini-games, and sights to explore.
Here, you’ll engage in various activities that require you to acquire suitable swimsuits before heading to the beach. As part of Tifa and Aerith’s quest to obtain companion cards, you’ll need to complete the Cactuar Caper by locating all the Costa del Sol Cactuars. While you’ll receive a note to help you find them, some of them can be quite tricky to locate.
When you’re close to a Cactuar location,a camera symbol will appear, indicating its presence nearby.
Cactuar Location #1
The first Cactuarcan be foundat the sign atop Surf and Suntan, the entrance to the beach, justnorth of where you initiated the quest.
Look up at the sign, and you’ll spotthe Cactuar symbol there.
To snap a picture,use your camera by pressing the up button on the d-pad and aim towards the symbol. You’ll need tozoom in to about 40 percent, which you can see on the camera mode screen.
Oncethe numbers turn green, capture the picture of the Cactuar bypressing R2.
Cactuar Location #2
You can find the second Cactuar to theeast of Costa del Sol, near the docks. When you arrive, you’ll see two of them, buthead towards the one on the left side.
Once you reach the end of the left dock, you’ll spotthe Cactuar on the rock in front of you.
This time, when you take out your camera,verify to zoom in to around 70 percentbefore capturing the picture.
Cactuar Location #3
Backtrack a bit towards thesouthern area of the map, where the ship that brought you to Costa del Sol is located. Before you reach the ship, you’ll noticea small tiki shack.
Behind it, you’ll see somekids near a fire hydrant, and atthe bottom of it, you’ll find theCactuar you’re looking for.
As always, use your camera and ensure tozoom in to around 30 percentbefore snapping the picture.
Cactuar Location #4
For the final Cactuar,head west in the opposite direction of the dockswhere you found the second Cactuar and make your way behind the building there.
When yougaze upwards, you’ll noticesome rocks adorned with multiple Cactuar drawings.
However, you’ll want tofocus on the pink one. Capture a picture of it witha zoom of around 10 percent.
