FromSoftwaresent social media into meltdown last month whenit debuted the trailer for Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. A beefy expansion for 2022’s Game of the Year that wasfirst teased on Elden Ring’s first anniversary. Finally giving us more than a single image and a name to go on, not only did the trailer reveal a lot about the DLC, butyou can pre-order it nowready for its arrival on June 21. Even better, if you plan on continuing your journey onPC, you can currently get the DLC for less.

As pointed out byIGN, both Green Man Gaming and Fanatical currently have the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion available for less. The only caveats are it’s only the PC version, and you can’t go directly toSteamto benefit from the discount. Usually $39.99, which suggests the expansion will likely be close to the size of an entirely new game, you can pick up a Shadow of the Erdtree pre-order through the links in the box below for $35.19.

If you don’t just want Shadow of the Erdtree’s standard edition, whether reduced or not, there are a lot of other options. There’s the Premium Bundle and the Collector’s Edition for those of you who already own the base game, and the Shadow of the Erdtree and Deluxe Editions for those who don’t. Clearly hopeful a lot of people will begin their journeys across The Lands Between this summer, those latter two options include the base game and its upcoming expansion.

Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree

The Shadow of the Erdtree is Elden Ring’s highly-anticipated DLC. Expanding on your journey in The Lands Between and launching on Aug 03, 2025.

Most of us aren’t new to Elden Ring. We played for the first time more than two years ago and we’ve been obsessed with the Souls game ever since. The new trailer and additional details about its expansion have finally given us fresh content to dissect. Turns out we were right aboutMiquella’s hand being connected to Elden Ring’s post-game content, and players have also discovereda Shadow of the Erdtree factionhas been hiding in plain sight this entire time.

The desire to try and figure out what the Shadow of the Erdtree has in store appears to have slowed down some of Elden Ring’s more imaginative players. Keen to find ways to play the game in new ways while we waited for the expansion, Elden Ring players have done everything from playing the gameon a controller made of bananastopushing one of its walking mausoleums off a cliff. Turns out we could shove stuff in Elden Ring long before we could inBaldur’s Gate 3, we just didn’t realize.
