Fashion Souls has always been a big part of FromSoftware games. While some people maximise their builds to make them the strongest and most well-defended in whatever hellhole they’ve stumbled across, plenty juststick on whatever looks good, or spend their time cosplaying. It was only a matter of time before Fashion Soulscriticsappeared.
InElden Ring, there’s a player called the “Fashion Police” invading other Tarnished’s worlds. Once inside, they don’t start a fight. Instead, they run up, whip out their binoculars, inspect the other players, and give their verdict. In this case, they throw down an item that says “You’re beautiful” before jumping off a cliff and killing themselves.
LemonLime7777 shared their encounter on the game’s subreddit, saying that it “made [their] day”, but digging through Twitter, you’ll find that the Fashion Police have been at this fortwo years.
In one clip, a host and their summon were similarly invaded by the “Fashion Police” who ran over and pulled out a pair of binoculars, even using the thinking gesture as they pondered over the host’s outfit. However, in this clip, they don’t say “You’re beautiful”, but quietly disconnect, leaving the host in peace.
A few months later, the Fashion Police returned, this time with the signature “You’re beautiful” line ready to go.
However, they weren’t invading other players but being summoned to help them with a dungeon. They didn’t leave afterwards either, embarking on the elevator ride down towards the boss.
On the subreddit, similar stories were shared two years ago of people being invaded and judged. However, nobody shared a clip of what happens if the Fashion Police isnota fan of your outfit. Luckily, there’s a post from the Fashion Police themselves that went under the radar in 2022.
