As a Gacha game, accumulating characters and weapons inGenshin Impactinvolves pulling for characters and weapons on limited-time events. As of version 4.5, the banner Chronicled Wish has been introduced, giving you the opportunity to wish for older characters and weapons.
Maybe you’re a new player who’s never seen certain characters on banner, or maybe you’re an older player who missed out on getting a favorite character’s signature weapon. Whatever the case, this new Genshin banner gives new players the opportunity to finally wish for older characters and weapons, while it gives older players the chance to obtain constellations and refinement ranks.
What Is Chronicled Wish?
Chronicled Wish is a type of banner that will be available starting from the Version 4.5 update.
Chronicled Wish will allow you to pull for characters and weaponsexclusive to this wish banner and haven’t been available for quite some time(usually seven months or more).
Each version of the Chronicled Wish banner refreshes with the regular Character and Weapon banners, bringing in different characters and weapons for you to wish for.
Deciding Your Path
Before you begin wishing, you may pick aChronicled Path.It works like Epitome Invocation on the weapon banner, where you can chart your course to receive a 5-star weapon or character.You have a 50/50 chance of receiving your Chronicled Path within 90 wishes.
However,if you lose your 50/50and receive a 5-star item that you didn’t chart with your Chronicled Path, you will receive one Fate Point. One Fate Point is all you need. With one Fate Point,your next 5-star is guaranteed to be the one you picked for your Chronicled Path.
Fate Points reset after receiving your chosen 5-star.
Your Odds And Chances
The Chronicled Wish banner functions similarly to other banners, whereyou are guaranteed a 5-star within 90 pulls.When you do receive a 5-star, you have a 50/50 chance of receiving the one you selected for Chronicled Path.
If you lose your 50/50 by pulling a weapon or character that isn’t your Chronicled Path, you will receive one of the other 5-star characters/weapons instead.If you lose your 50/50, your next 5-star is guaranteed to be the one chosen from your Chronicled Path.
Furthermore, if you pick a 5-star character as your Chronicled Path and you lose your 50/50, the 5-star you receive instead is guaranteed to be another 5-star character.
Similarly, if you pick a 5-star weapon as your Chronicled Path and lose your 50/50, you will be guaranteed a different 5-star weapon.
Pull counts are not shared between this banner and any other banner.
Between Chronicled Wish Banner Periods
The amount of pulls you have done on the current Chronicled Wish banner will still carry over to the next banner when the current banner ends.
For example, you have done 50 pulls on one Chronicled Wish banner without receiving a 5-star. When that Chronicled Wish banner ends and a new one starts, you will still be guaranteed a 5-star on the next Chronicled Wish banner (to a total of 90 without a 5-star).
However,Fate Points do not carry over.So if you pull on the 4.5 Chronicled Wish banner and you lose your 50/50 by receiving a 5-star you didn’t want, and the banner changes, you will not receive the guaranteed Chronicled Path 5-star.
Odds For 4-Star Characters And Weapons
Like other banners, Chronicled Wish guarantees there to be at leastone 4-star character or weapon every ten pulls.
4-star weapons and characters will appear no matter if your Chronicled Path is a weapon or a character.
Every Chronicled Wish Banner 5-Star Character
Each Chronicled Wish banner gives you a choice ofsix possible 5-star characters.
These characters are those who have beenfeatured on at least three Character Bannersand haven’t been featured for some time.

4-Star Characters And Weapons
The standard array of 4-star characters and weapons will be available during the Chronicled Wish banner.As of yet, it has not been announced if there will be any featured 4-star weapons or characters like there are on other banners.

When Will Chronicled Wish Be Available?
The first Chronicled Wish banner will be available starting on the launch of the 4.5 update, which starts Jun 06, 2025. Chronicled Wish will continue to change and update along with the regular featured Character and Weapon Banners.

The Chronicled Wish banner acceptsPrimogems and Intertwined Fates(the Fates you use for wishing on the featured weapon and character banners).
Should You Pull On Chronicled Wish?
Characters featured on the Chronicled Wish banner have been run on the main Character Banner at least three times. If you’re a new player who’s had your eyes on an older characterbut hasn’t had the chance to pull for them yet because they haven’t been featured for a while, this could be your chance to nab them.
If you’re an older player looking forConstellationsof an older character you love, this is also a good chance to pull for them.
If you love one of the featured characters on the Chronicled Wish banner, this is a good chance to get them because you never know when they’ll be featured on any banner again.
The Chronicled Wish banner also featuressome weapons available that are difficult to obtain. Some standard characters’ signature weapons are now available for players. These weapons would be otherwise hard to get unless you pulled for them on the character’s original run.
However,some characters and weapons are already available on the Standard Banner or can be automatically pulled when you lose your 50/50 on other banners, so if you’re worried about that, you may be better off passing on the Chronicled Wish banner.
The Future of Chronicled Wish
Chronicled Wish banners will update and change alongside the usual Weapon and Character banners.
Chronicled Wish also lets players wish on characters who have been featured on the main Character banner at least three times. These characters also haven’t been featured on the Character Banner for approximately seven months minimum. This means that we can expect to see some faces that haven’t been featured in a while.
