Deviant Convict And Tome Of Atrophy Overview
Upon reachingfloor 90 in the Yabbashah block, you’ll encounter the Deviant Convict and Tome of Atrophy Gatekeepers. They make for a terrifying duo, so use the teleporter togo back to the entrance, save, and prep your partyfor the battle.
Deviant Convict doesn’t have any weaknesses and will charge a massive slash attack to eliminate the entire party.

You’ll want tobring Junpei and Yukari, who will be essential.Aigis is a great member to bringas well. Junpei has access tofire abilities like Agi, so he canknock down the Tome of Atrophywith ease. You’ll wantYukari to use Patra and/or Me Patrato quickly remove any statuses from your party members.
For your own Personas, you’ll want one that candeal fire damage as well, though one that’sresistant to Physical Skills(specifically Strike) will do well. If you don’t have a persona to fit the bill, you canassume the support roleor use items you’ve stockpiled.
How To Defeat Deviant Convict And Tome Of Atrophy
To defeat these gatekeepers, you’ll want toprioritize taking out the Tome of Atrophyfirst. This shadow will continue todebuff the party,making you muchmore vulnerable to Deviant Convict’s attacks.
Focus on removing this obstacle before Deviant Convict has a chance tounleash Herculean Strike. Once the shadow has charged up, it’s already too late. You’llneed to act quicklyor be ready to start the battle over.
When in doubt, you canuse an Attack Mirror on the protagonist. This will reflect the Herculean Strike, keeping you alive anddealing immense damage backto the Deviant Convict.
It’s game over if the protagonist reaches zero HP, so prioritize your own health over your teammates.
