Dead Spaceended a decade without a new entry in the series last year via the fantastic remake of its very first game. Battling the same necromorphs we did 15 years prior, but arguably even more terrifying this time around due to the improved graphics, as was the case the first time around, the first thing we get our hands on is the Plasma Cutter. Now the Dead Space series' most iconic weapon has been turned into a real-life collectible you may display on your wall.

The Plasma Cutter isn’t technically a weapon at all. It’s a mining tool that protagonist Isaac Clarke repurposes as a weapon due to how well it slices through enemies. Thankfully - or unfortunately depending on who you are - the real version of the Cutter isn’t an exact replica. It doesn’t function like the in-game version, partially because this isn’t the 26th century, but mostly because selling something like that would be incredibly irresponsible.

Dead Space Plasma Cutter Shadowbox

The Plasma Cutter you can own comes in a shadow box, presumably not to be removed, adorned with LED lights to make your replica look its best when on display. Much like the Cutter Clarke discovers at the beginning of his Dead Space journey, the replica is covered in scuffs and bloodstains, making it look as if it has already been used to fight off necromorphs, and potentially been through a few previous owners before finding its way to you.

A replica of the 211-V Plasma Cutter from the original Dead Space, the first weapon you stumble upon. Placed into a shadowbox equipped with four LED lights for display purposes.

Not only can you make the Plasma Cutter your own through the official Dead Space store at the link above, but right now, you’re able to do it for less. $125 at full price, the shadowboxed cutter is currently available for just $95. The scarcity of the item alone makes it well worth the price. Only 1,000 of them are available, and each one comes with a letter of authenticity so you know it’s the real thing. Each is numbered too, making your cutter unique from the other 999 out there.
