Dave The Diverwas confirmed to becoming to PlayStationearlier this year, and now we know exactly when you will be able to dive during the day and run a sushi restaurant at night onPS4andPS5. Even better,PlayStationhas revealed when Dave The Diver does make its long-awaited arrival on its platforms, those of you who have a PS Plus Extra or Premium subscription will be able to play the game for free as it joins the service’s library.
Dave The Diver’s release date and news of its arrival on PS Plus was confirmed viaa new PlayStation blog post. Written by the game’s director and designer Jaeho Hwang, the release date for Dave The Diver is confirmed to be April 16, so two weeks from today if you’re reading this on the day it was published. For those unfamiliar with Dave The Diver, Hwang details exactly what PlayStation players can expect when their game comes to PS4 and PS5 later this month.

Hwang reveals that at first, Dave The Diver began and ended with the deep sea exploration element of the game. The sushi restaurant addition went down a storm with early reviewers and quickly became an integral part of the gameplay loop. Going between the sea and the restaurant over and over again runs the risk of becoming a little monotonous, which is why you’ll also come across several mini-games during your day-to-day in Dave The Diver, some of which are detailed in Hwang’s blog post.
