Corel Region - Phenomenon Intel 1: Modular Reactor 1
The very firstPhenomenon Intelin theCorel regionis marked on your map, located justsouth of the Gold Saucer. Upon approaching, a cutscene will trigger where you meet a Sand Giant also searching for the same Protorelic, but don’t worry, you won’t fight it.
Afterward, approach the house with the cactuses and interact with the door. You’ll then be able tocollect the cactuar statuenext to the door, which will assist you in locating the cactuar rock.

Hold the up button on the d-padanda light from the statue will guide you to the rock. However, since you’re reading this guide, we’ll direct you immediately. To the east of your location, you’ll find a Chocobo Stop.Head right from there, and you’ll seean entrance between the rocks.
Follow this path until youencounter cactuses, which will eventually lead you to the rock. Refer to the map picture for guidance if needed.

When you’re in front of the rock, hold the statue up once morebefore returning to the Modular Reactor. With that completed, you’ll unlock the door at the first location.Enter, descend the ladder, and you’ll find a goblin named Kid G,speak to him.
Next, you’ll need to complete amini-game called Cactuar Crush, playing as Yuffie. In this stage, you’ll encounter two types of enemies:Gladiatuars, weak to physical damage, andMagituars, weak to magic.

Fortunately, Yuffie can deal both types of damage, so you will need toswitch between her attacks depending on the enemies you encounter in each wave.
Occasionally, rainbow cactuars will appear;attacking them grants extra time.
Your objective is to defeat as many cactuars as possible to reach1000 points, with Rank 1 being sufficient. Once completed, you’ll receivethe first piece of the Protorelicand thenext location for the Phenomenon Intel.
Corel Region - Phenomenon Intel 2: Modular Reactor 2
For the second Modular Reactor,it will be marked on your mapandlocated far east of the desert.
It will be the same process as before: interact with the door, obtain the statue, find the rock, and complete the mini-game.

Once you acquire the statue, they will indicate a beam to thenortheast from your location. Head in that direction, where you’ll findyellow ledges near some cactuses. Climb them and thenuse the grappling hook to reach the other ledges, which will lead you to the rock. Below is a map picture for reference.
After reaching the rock and interacting with it,return to the second Modular Reactor. Descend the ladder and speak to Kid G to complete the mini-game. However, this time, you’ll play as Aerith, and it’s a bit different.

With Aerith, you’ll encountertwo new enemies:white cactuarsandblack cactuars. to defeat them, you’ll need toconjure the right ward—eitherLuminousorShadow—and then use ranged attacks. UseLuminous for whitecactuars andShadow for blackones.
During this stage, Gladiatuars and Magituars will also spawn alongside the time cactuars. Deal with them in the same way as before: physical attacks for Gladiatuars and magic for Magituars.

Similar to the first mini-game, you only need toachieve a score of 1000 and complete Rank 1to obtain the second piece of the Protorelic.
Once you’ve completed both mini-games, Kid G will inform you that the pursuit of the Phenomenon Intelwill be paused until he contacts you again.
This won’t happenuntil you reach Chapter 12! We’ll update this guide as soon as we acquire the remaining two pieces, kupo!
