In a pirate game likeSkull And Bones, upgrading your ship and making it stronger becomes your priority since you won’t stand a chance against tough enemies if your ship isn’t at the same power level as them or higher. Thankfully, it’s quite easy to keep track of your ship power in this game.
While sailing in the seas, you’ll quickly notice that your ship is assigned a certain level that can be seen at the bottom left part of your screen. Increasing this level is the main way to make yourself stronger, and here’s how you can do that.
Ways To Increase Ship Level
As you progress in the main story and build your first ship to take it into combat, you’ll likely have around two or three level. Ideally, you’d only want to take on ships that are either the same level or lower than you. Moreover, if you’re planning to plunder a base, it’shighly recommended to be at least two ship levels higherthan the target.
With all of this, you’re not left with a lot of options when you first start playing, andit becomes a priority to upgrade your ship level. Here are all the ways you can do this:
you’re able to only get the option to manage your shipwhen you’re docked at an Outpost or a Den.
This can be found by eithertalking to your partner at the dockor pressing the button on the bottom right side of your screen.
Once again, you’ll need to be a certain rank to get higher-tier items in the game, and things like thedesign you choose for your ship don’t affect the levelsince they’re purely cosmetic.
