The Circle Of Fortune is one of two available factions inLast Epoch, alongside the Merchant’s Guild. you’re able to choose between the two factions when you finish the main storyline atChapter 9- you can switch between the two, but it’s still an impactful decision. Picking Circle Of Fortune means that youcan no longer trade items on the Marketplace, but allows you to target loot through theProphecy system.
The Prophecy System allows you to tilt the odds in your favor while you hunt for certain items, whether that be Exalted Amulets, Rare Rings, or the final Unique you need for your build. This guide covers everything you need to know about the Circle Of Fortune.
What Is The Circle Of Fortune, And How Does It Work?
The Circle Of Fortune is an endgame activity in Last Epoch. It allows you to unlock more powerful loot, more easily - at the cost of having access to the marketplace. It’s unlocked at the end of the current storyline, at Chapter 9.
You must choose between the Circle Of Fortune or Merchant’s Guild.
If you pick the Circle Of Fortune, you’ll unlockProphecies,which are essentially extra quests that you may complete for a guaranteed loot payout.
The Prophecy System
Propechies are unlocked usingFaction Favor, which is earned by defeating monsters and completing quests. Running endgame activities likeMonoliths,Dungeons, andArenaswill all help you level up your Favor.
Once you’ve accrued some Favor, you may unlock Prophecies at theObservatoryinMaj’elka.You can quick travel to the Observatory by pressingYto open the faction menu and then clicking onTravel To The Observatory.
Once you’re there, you can use the different lenses to select the type of item you’d like to loot:
Choosing a Lens will open the Prophecy Screen.
Here you can select which Prophecy you want to unlock, orrerollto open up different types of Prophecies. This all costsFavor.
There are many different factors that can impact the types of Prophecies you can unlock.
One might require you to killthree Diamond Matrons six times, for example, which you can complete in a story zone or in aMonolith.
Alternatively, betterProphecies are harder to unlock.You may need to defeat enemies in aTier 4 Dungeonor at acertain level of Monolith corruption.Other Prophecies will require you to defeat aBossorArena champion.
Rerolling is pretty cheap, so don’t be afraid to reroll multiple times to find the type of Prophecy you’re looking for.
Refining Your Target Looting
The type of Prophecies you’ll find in the Lens can be refined bypurchasing Lensfrom the vendor at the entrance to theObservatory.
Here you may buy new lenses which will allow you to increase the chances for Prophecies to have the item you’re looking for, and as you level up your Favor you will unlock new lenses, which will reduce the number ofDungeon, Monolith or ArenaProphecies according to your taste.
Not keen on running Dungeons? Just grab the 100% reduction in Dungeon Prophecies lens and fewer of that type of Prophecy will appear.
Once you’ve done that, it’s also a good idea to think about where you’re going to be looting for items.
Monolith Target Looting - Where To Look For Certain Loot
Each Monolith has a set type of loot assigned to it:
Use this information to guide your looting, as well as the types of Prophecies you’re unlocking.Certain mobs only spawn in certain locations, hence the need to prioritize and think about what you want to unlock.
