Usually, when you input a custom name in a game, you then embark on a whole adventure where nobody calls you by it. Instead, you hear a lot of “you,” “Commander,” “Captain,” “Merc,” “Soldier,” and any other general title that the developers can come up with. This is because there’s no way to have all the voice actors record lines for every name.
However,Fallout 4is one of the rare games that attempts to do it. Naturally, most of the cast won’t say your name, but your robotic butler-turned-companion, Codsworth, has the capability of doing so. Of course, there are limitations, as he doesn’t know every name, but he can verbalize a large number of them. Here is a collection of all the ones he can say.
Every Name That Codsworth Can Say
There areover 1,200 names in Codsworth vocabulary. Most of them are ordinary names, such as Ben, Elizabeth, and Sam. Yet, there are also a bunch of strange ones, like Bacon and Boob. There are even a few obvious references, like Kal-El, which is the real name of Superman.
Whatever your name is, he doesn’t just say it. He’s a butler, after all, so he puts Mister or Miss in front of it to make it sound a bit more fancy. As such, if you give him two names, he’ll typically prioritize the second one. And he’ll say it each time you interact with him.
