Quick Links
In addition to the main storyline inBanishers: Ghosts Of New Eden, there’s plenty of extra stuff to do. you’re able to explore the map and tackle Haunting Cases, which are like side quests in the game. These cases involve investigating situations where people are being haunted by ghosts from their past due to a certain event that happened between them.
Once you arrive at the Hunter’s Camp for the first time, you’ll have a few Haunting Cases to solve as part of proving yourself in the main quest, The Woodfolks. One of these cases is called Hammer And Tongs.

The choices you make during a haunting case, whether it’s between Red and Antea or when they interact with individuals related to the case, will not affect the story.
The only decision that really matters and affects the story’s course is the one you make at the Closure of the Haunting Case.

Investigate The Haunting
When you receive the case quest, your first step is toinvestigate the haunted house of the blacksmithto gather more information. Inside the forge, you’ll findfour items marked in greenfor inspection. Be sure to examine them to get your first clue.
Next, outside the house, you’ll encountera woman hammering the wall.Chat with herto gather additional details about the case.

Once you’ve finished your conversation with Nellie, you’ll gain access to the housefor further investigation. This time, you’ll come acrossa bed that you need to interact with. After doing so, you’ll need toperform a ritual called the Harkening.
To perform the Harkening, you’ll needtwo Pyitesandtwo Wild Chervils, which you’re able to find around the Hunter’s Camp.

Find Fortune
After watching the echo from the past to gather more information about the case, switch to Anteaandexamine the stains near the forge to follow the ghost’s trail.
Stay in control of Antea as it will be easier to spot the trail and the green stains.

As you follow the trail, you’ll eventually come acrossa man screaming from a house under attack by wolves.
Defeat the wolves, and the man will emerge for a conversation. During this talk, you’ll gather additional hints and learn more about the case.

Inspect The Tools In The Cabin
After concluding your conversation with “Fortune”, you can enter the house andexamine the toolsto uncover more information about the case.
Once you’ve finished with that, you’ll encounter ablocked door obstructed by a wooden barrier next to the table. Attack the barrier to clear the way, then exit the house.

Find The Hammer
Outside, there will be stains you can interact with using Antea to reveal another trail. Same as previously, stick with Antea to follow the trail easily. When you reach the end of the trail, you will need to descend to the hammer location, which serves as your ghost tie.
From the wooden platform overlooking the hammer, backtrack and head right to ascend a rock wall.

Once you’re up,turn leftandswitch to Anteatointeract with the green marks using the Leap Manifestation, teleporting to the other side.
On the other side, make your way down to the hammer, but be prepared for a fight. After dealing with the enemies, interact with the hammer to trigger a scene from the past, shedding light on the case’s details.
You’ll obtainthe Flatter itemafter the cutscene. Next, you’ll need tosummon the ghost by performing the Make-Manifest ritual, using the Flatterandtwo Hoof Fungus.
Once the ghost is summoned, speak to him. With that being done,it’s time to head back to Nellieand bring closure to this case.
If you want to easily fast travel back to the Hunter’s Camp, you can rest in the nearby shelter.
Bring Closure
Back at the forge, you’ll need to speak with both Nellie and the “blacksmith” to confront them about their actions. Once you’ve finished talking with them, it’stime to bring closure to the case.
In the decision menu, you’ll havefour choices:
Both blame decisions will contribute to Antea’s Resurrection ritual if you’re aiming to bring her back to life.
In addition, this will also impact the dynamic between whoever you let live between these two characters and how they will interact with you in the future.
There is no right or wrong decision, and we cannot tell you how to play the game.
However,be aware that your choice will impact how the story unfolds and, of course, Antea’s fate.
