One of the main aspects ofPalworldis building a base of operations to gather and store resources, and you’ll spend a lot of time there getting things organized. As you continue to level up and unlock new schematics and technology, your base may feel crowded and your Pals can get stuck or trapped in different areas in your base.

Designing your base will take time and effort, but it’s well worth it to streamline efficiency and ensure your Pals stay in good condition. Here are some of the best tips for designing the layout of your base in Palworld.

Palworld is in Early Access, so details are subject to change. We’ll update our guides as needed.

Stack Pal Beds Vertically

When youbuild a base, you’ll need one Pal bed for each Pal at that location. However, you may notice thatPals don’t always return to their bedsat night. What you can doto maximize spaceis stack those beds in vertical structures, like an apartment complex.

Thisworks best with the straw Pal bed, as it doesn’t offer many benefits to the Pals when they sleep. You’ll wantmore open access to better Pal bedsthough, as they canrestore sanity to your Palsover time.

Using structures this way willmake more space for you to buildaround the area as needed.

Use Wide Open Spaces

When you are looking for thebest place to set up your base, you’ll want tofind a wide open areawithout any hills. This will make iteasier to buildand it will work better for your Pals. They tend toget stuck or lostwhen the ground isn’t flat, though some hills and stairs won’t cause problems.

These spaces are great for building, as you canspace out different utilitieslike mining and logging sites, as well as assembly lines. The landscape also makes things much easier to move around in, and youwon’t have to worry about clippingthrough your foundations or uneven structures.

Space Out Structures

When youset up your baseand build different structures for your Pals to use, it’s a great idea tospace them out morethan you’d think. If things are too close together, yourPals may get stuck walking around or outright refuse to workat certain stations.

Pals may get stuck on the logging site or mining nodes, which will prevent them from eating and lead to health problems.

You’ll want tomake sure that there’s space all aroundfor your Pals to move and carry things. Sometimes this will also meanadding more Pal Feedboxesaround so that your Pals can freely move around andavoid running into each other and getting stuck.

Plenty Of Storage

One of the main things to keep in mind is storage. Continuing toincrease your storage(and build better storage containers than a wooden chest) will help youkeep your items organized.

You’ll want tokeep your storage in open spaceswhere Pals can reach it easily. You’ll also want to use a few clever tactics tokeep Pals from messing with your organizationsystem:
