Numerous mods boost your gameplay without impacting the authenticity of the experience.

Cirosan

Shadwar

Fallout 4’s dialogue is nondescript, to say the least. While the options offer a range of responses in conversations, you never know exactly what you’re going to say. It can be hard to control a conversation when the reply is unclear. You might find your sarcasm is meaner than you intended, so you reload the game to replay the entire conversation.

The Full Dialogue Interface mod generates the whole response, so it’s clear what you can choose. This mod is great for having complete control over your conversation.

Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch

The Unofficial Patch Project Team

The Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch mod is a bug-fixing mod that smooths out the many bumps and bruises you might encounter in the game. From graphic problems to quest errors, this mod tracks and fixes reported bugs.

Encountering bugs can be incredibly frustrating when you’re trying to enjoy the game. Problems like textures not rendering can sometimes be ignored. However, it can be too much when they start impacting your gameplay. This mod helps to make your game as smooth as possible. While it can’t fix every problem, it’s a polish to an enjoyable game.

Improved Maps With Visible Roads

mm137

Using your Pip-Boy to set markers and find your way through the wasteland is a useful part of Fallout 4. Further in the city, when the streets are denser and more dangerous, you may get lost around all the rubble.

Improved Maps With Visible Roads gives the Pip-Boy map an overhaul, so it’s much easier to find and plan your route. On installation, you can decide how you want the map to look and visually tailor it to your liking. You can apply a grid and use markers to find certainregions and landmarkseasily.

True Storms - Wasteland Edition

Fadingsignal

Wasteland weather isn’t the most notable thing in Fallout 4. Sure, the foggy terror of the Dead Sea is an entirely new area marked out by its weather, but there aren’t many other variations. True Storms is a mod that enhances the weather of Fallout 4, meaning you’re able to travel through light, misty rain or harsh thunderstorms.

While this mod doesn’t change much about your way of playing, it improves immersion. Travelling through the wasteland in all its irradiated glory is much more fun with the odd lightning strike and unforgiving rain.

Lowered Weapons

Lesma666

Talking to a companion or walking through a peaceful area witha pistol raisedcan seem intimidating. Holding up your gun can not only feel like you’re sending the wrong message, but the weapon also takes up a lot of your screen.

The Lowered Weapons mod points your weapon to the floor and only raises it when being fired. It helps to feel more immersed in the game now that your gun isn’t trained on everything you look at. The extra space to look around without your weapon being in the way is a great bonus.

Everyone’s Best Friend

Valdacil

Dogmeat is one of the first companions you meet on your journey out of Vault 111. The dog is waiting by the Red Rocket Truck Stop outside Sanctuary. Dogmeat acts as a regular companion, the furry friend being a fierce protector when travelling with you through the dangers of the Commonwealth.

One frustrating aspect of having Dogmeat as a companion is that he has to be swapped when another companion is recruited to travel. Everyone’s Best Friend is a creative mod that lets Dogmeat travel with you and another companion. Finally, you can show Dogmeat around the wasteland while reaping therewards of another partnerby your side.

Pip-Boy Flashlight

AKcelsior

The Pip-Boy Flashlight mod is an overhaul to the flashlight. When installing this mod, you may select the kind of light you want and its strength. For those who want an immersive experience, you can adjust how the light shines to suit your wasteland exploration. If you want to be able to see, you can make it a straightforward, bright light to guide your way.

If the flashlight isn’t working for you, this mod is a great way to adjust it. You can even change whether the light appears from your head or your Pip-Boy. The customisation of the mod makes it a great addition to your game.

The colour of the flashlight matches the colour of your Pip-Boy. Change the colour of your Pip-Boy in the settings to adjust the colour of the light.

Shadowslasher410

VlitS

Scrap Everything is a mod that does what its title says. It scraps everything. Not only does it let you destroy untouchable buildings, but you may remove some annoying floor textures that disrupt your base building. Everthing apart from the ground you stand on can be deleted; roads, debris, buildings, and more.

This mod is ideal for when you want a clean slate for a perfect settlement. Rather than having to weave through unmovable objects, you may build where you want, whenever you want. The only trouble with this mod is signing yourself up for a lot of spring-cleaning.

Sims Settlements Team

Kinggath

A sequel to the well-known Sim Settlements mod, Sim Settlements 2 completely changes how settlements in Fallout 4 function. Rather than building a few shelters with beds, you could leave the settlers to independently build their city with little to no help.

The mod may seem overwhelming at first; it does add a huge amount of content to the game, but it’s a great improvement to your game. Building settlements is less of a chore with this mod, and it finally feels like you’re building a community with active settlers.
