InPalworld, Pals you collect are able to perform a wide array of tasks around your base to help you (and them) survive. One such task is Watering, which is needed for watering crops. You will also need Waterers for the mill, which turns wheat into flour, and the crusher, which is for turning wood into fiber and stone into Paldium fragments.
There are many Pals throughout Palworld that have the Watering skill, all with different levels of proficiency indicating how fast they are able to finish a Watering task. Here we’ve compiled a list of the best Pals for Watering that you may use at your base.

Other Base Tasks

This cute little guy is one of thefirst Pals you’ll come acrossat the beginning of the game, and at least the first one with the Water element. In fact, it’s both a Water and Ice type Pal. You should be able to find Pengulletalong many river banks and beach areas, as well as up and down the middle section of the starting island, andis very easy to catch.
In addition to its Watering ability, Pengullet is also useful forHandiwork,Cooling, andTransporting. When you first establish your base and don’t have a lot of Pals yet, it’s good to have a Pal that can cover a few jobs to help you get started.

Fuack is also a great Pal to have at your starter base due to itsability to help with other tasks along with Watering. This little duck-like Pal can easily beswapped in when Pengullet needs a break, or used along with Pengullet to help with Handiwork or Transporting.
Also very easy to catch, you’ll most likelyfind Fuack in a lot of the same places you might find Pengullet. But instead of just on the beach or river bank, this Pal can be found strolling all overMarsh Island,Forgotten Island, andSea Breeze Archipelago. Fuack can also hatch from some of theDamp Eggsyou’ll find as you begin exploring.

Though Teafant is tiny and adorable,don’t count out this little teacup elephantjust yet! Watering is the only base task it can perform, which is very usefulonce you start upgrading your base and collecting other Palsthat can cover some of the other areas better. You’ll find Teafant in many of the same areas as the previous Pals on this list, and it is a super easy catch.
We also recommend having an extra Teafant that you can put in your Party. It’s Partner Skill,Soothing Shower, sprays water on you thatrestores your Health.
Once you’ve unlocked the Pal Essence Condenser,catch a bunch of Teafants and condense them together. The Partner Skill of the surviving Teafant will increase, so it’ll bemore efficient at healing your wounds.

As you upgrade your base and add more tasks to it,eventually you’re going to need Pals that have a higher proficiency levelin the tasks you need them for. One of the first Pals you’ll come across with alevel two Watering skill is Gobfin, who looks like a cross between a goblin and a shark. This little guy can also do Handiwork and Transporting tasks when needed, but as its Watering Skill is higher,it’ll prioritize tasks that need watering, like crops and certain devices.
The only place you’ll be able to find Gobfin is atGobfin’s Turf, which is on the southwestern corner of Verdant Brook, right next to The Sealed Realm of the Stalwart where the Warsect Alpha Boss is.Fast travel to the Gobfin’s Turf eagle statue, and the area should be swarming with Gobfin to battle and capture.

One of themost valuable Palsyou’ll ever have working at your base is Penking. It walks around strutting its stuff, like it knows just how awesome it is, and it really is pretty cool to have. It is level two proficiency in all of its traits, including Watering, and itdoes an excellent job of figuring out which job needs to be worked on.
The first Penking you’ll probably ever come across is theAlpha Boss in the Sealed Realm of the Frozen Wings, on the northeastern tip of the Windswept Hills. Other than that, you’ll findother Penking at the No. 2 Wildlife Sanctuary.

If you need a Watering Pal that doesn’t have any other traits that also has a bit more power, you can’t go wrong with Surfent. With a level two Watering skill, it can easily tackle any watering taskwithout being needed for anything else.
Surfent is also extremely helpful as a mount. Not only can it easily carry you through the water, but italso prevents stamina depletion while mounted. During the day you may find Surfent in the lakes near the Sealed Realm of the Swordmaster and the Jormuntide Alpha Boss. At night, you can also find it at Gobfin’s Turf.
Lumbering (2)
Elphridan Aqua is a great Pal to assign to your base,if you may get one. It not only has alevel three Watering skill, but it’s Lumbering is at level two, which can provide great coverage for that task if your other Lumbering Pals need a break.
This one is a little harder to obtain than some of the other Pals on this list, however. While you may be able to find Elphridan out in the wild,the only way to get Elphidran Aquais by breeding Surfent with Elphridan.

It won’t be long before you’re going to need Watering Pals with amuch higher skill level. As you unlock more crops (like tomatoes and lettuce), pretty soon you will have a lot more that needs watering, andlevel one and two Waterers might not be enough.
Azurobe is a great one to move ontoif you’re not strong enough to catch a level four Watering Pal yet.You can catch the Azurobe Alpha Bossin the lake between the Bridge of the Twin Knights and the Ravine Entrance.Other wild Azurobe can be found at the No. 2 Wildlife Sanctuary.

Last but certainly not least,the absolute best Pal for Watering is the Water Dragon Jormuntide. Clocking alevel four Watering Skill, any task that needs watering will be finished in seconds. You may need to get some Pals with level four Planting and Gathering to match as well!
There are two ways to get Jormuntide. You cancapture the Alpha Bosslocated in the lake north of the Sealed Realm of the Thunder Dragon. Oryou can breed one using a variety of breeding combos. Here area few of those breeding combinationsthat will result in a Jormuntide:
