Sometimes, the best Pals are the ones you find along the way! Some people prefer to playPalworldwith their friends. Others don’t have friends and are instead playing on their own.

When you play on your own in Palworld, you will want to have a few key Pals to keep you company and help you out. Not all Pals are made equally, and though ultimately you can become friends with whoever you want, these are the best Pals to have helping you on your solo journey.

A Strong Little Friend

Gumoss is a cute yet strong Pal that fits well into a solo party. you may capture Gumoss right from the start of the game. He is not very useful around the ranch as they only have one skill in planting.

However, as aGroundand Grass type, they have a lot of health and learn attacks as they level up that can make them a powerful enemy. When you have Gumoss out fighting, enemies will target them, and they will stand up to a few blows.

7Nitewing

You Can Ride Them

Nitewing is one of the first flying Pals that you can easily solo and capture. Their mount isn’t expensive to unlock or make, allowing you to explore the game in a completely new manor.

Once you have a Nitewing, you can find yourself flying across the land, charging away from enemies you might have angered, and attacking from the skies! They aren’t very good at camp, as they just have two skills in Gathering; however, they make a good solo party Pal.

6Daedream

Always Awake To Help

Daedream is a bit more of a fight to find, as you will need to explore at night. Exploring at night can be very tricky in solo play; however, if you get your hands on a Daydream it’s well worth it. They can also be found in caves if you are really struggling.

Daedream is agreat ranch Pal, as they have one skill in handiwork, gathering and transport, allowing them to do a lot of tasks around camp. They are also nocturnal, which means they don’t sleep much and will continue to work throughout the night. When you first start off, having this extra hand can make resource gathering and creation easier.

5Dumud

A Little Lazy, But Who Isn’t

Dumud is a large Pal that you can most easily get from syndicate cages, especially early on. They have a skill in watering and transport, as well as two in mining. This combination of skills makes them a good base Pal, as there is actually a lot of machines that need watering and you will always need more rocks.

Dumud, when in your party, will increase the attack power of all Ground Pals, making your Gumoss much more powerful. You can also throw them out at resources you don’t feel like mining when exploring, and they will do all the hard work for you.

4Tanzee

Does It All

You know that one friend who will do any task you ask them to do, and never bother with actually exploring? Well, Tanzee is that friend. They have a skill in planting, handiwork, gathering, lumbering and transport, meaning they could run the ranch without you.

You can leave them in the camp to cover most of the tasks and they will even put the items away. If you do unlock the gun, your Tanzee can be a wild partner shooting enemies for you, which is really fun to watch.

3Arsox

Keeps You Warm And Toasty

Arsox is a Pal that you can find in later stages of the game as they are a bit more challenging to capture. They have two skill points in kindling and one in lumbering, which is useful around the base in specific areas. However, their real use is in your party.

Riding an Arsox around in hot places is key for exploration, especially at night. When you need to explore the warmer parts of the map, you will have to wear cooling armor, which at night will cause you to freeze. Riding Arsox around will keep you warm and slightly light up where you are going. A multi-functional ride, and they are also quite powerful too.

A Big Distraction

Sometimes, in solo play, you need to focus on getting out alive instead of actually winning a battle. Gorirat is a later stage Pal that can really cause a big distraction, attacking enemies and holding their attention, so you can leave the area if you need too.

They have a skill in handiwork, two in lumbering and three in transport, making them useful around the base, but having one in your party can make quick escapes much easier, especially when you anger an enemy you are not strong enough to defeat yet.

1Loveander

A Little Extra Health

Loveander has a bit of a special ability that can really help you when it comes to fighting and staying alive. While they are out fighting with you, they grant both you and them a life steal effect, that allows you to absorb some of the damage and restore health instead.

This can give you quite the big boost when it comes to fighting strong enemies, allowing you to hang in there. This Pal also has two skills in handiwork, transporting and medicine production, as well as one in mining, which is a nice spread of skills.
