With season two, the revival of Fortune’s Keep, and ranked resurgence all coming toCall of Duty: Warzone, many players are returning to see what has changed on the map and how the new guns will behave after the latest updates.
You might be asking yourself which guns are worth using with all these rapid changes; we waited for the first balance patches and created the ultimate list to help you dominate. If you plan on returning to your Warzone grind and like the resurgence game mode, we’ll teach you which guns are meta and why we picked them. Let’s dive in.

Why The Resurgence Meta Is Different
Whilegood loadoutsdesignedfor Al Mazrahusually have a weaponspecifically modded for extreme long-range gunfights, in Fortune’s Keep and most resurgence maps, you really don’t see those open spaces to take advantage of those set-ups. This drastically changes the meta of this game mode.
In Resurgence, the best primary weaponsare guns thatkill fast at medium-to-long range. At those distances,aiming-down-sights speed is criticaland will decide many gunfights. On top of that, depending on whether you’re playing duos, trios, or quads, your magazine size should also be consideredbefore setting up your weapon.

Depending on your skills and playstyle, choose one of these guns to dominate resurgence; there’s something for everyone! We’ll also show you anexample set-up for every weapondesigned to excel at medium-to-long-range gunfights.Pair any of these builds with a good short-range gun,and you’ll easily survive Fortune’s Keep.
The Meta Guns In Fortune’s Keep
The Noob-Friendly All-Rounder - MCW Assault Rifle
If you’re new to Call of Duty or even FPS games in general, recoil control will be one of those techniques you’ll struggle with at first, but we foundthe best assault rifle for a new player. The MCWdoes not feature the fastest time to kill in the patch, but it makes it updue to its low recoil.
If you’re playing with friends, this is the best gun for a relaxing session trying to force 2v1s without doing anything too off the wall.
The weapondoesn’t move too much andwill let you track enemies easily. In our example setup, we tried to make it even easier to control, so you can only focus on your movements and your aim without that much effort. If you plan on playing solo, this isn’t the best gun, asyou might lose some 1v1s even while hitting all your shots.
RB Regal Heavy Stock
The Old Trusty RAM-7 Assault Rifle
The RAM-7finally got nerfed, after being the most dominant force in Warzone for some months. While it’s not what it used to be, especially after you go past the 50-meter mark, it’sstill one of the strongest weaponsafter the balance patch.
If you’re an aggressive player who likes good mobility and high ADS speed, keep using the RAM-7.
Whilethis build is designed to extend the RAM-7’s range, it will be handy if you like to rush a lot of squads and move around the map a lot. The visual recoil is extremely low, the time to kill will let you challenge almost anyone, the extended range will let you kill enemies afar, andthe 60-round magazinemakes you capable of wiping out an entire squad.
HVS 3.4 Pad
The Specialist Weapon - SVA Assault Rifle
TheSVA assault rifleis one of the weirdest meta guns in the patch, as itsbest configuration has to be used in semi-auto mode. Although it may seem too hard for some players, this semi-auto modefeatures a zero-recoil feel and a lot of damage per bullet. The only difficulty is hitting its RPM limit.
Headshots are greatly rewarded with this SVA build. If you’re a precise player, this is the one.

This set-up is perfect if you like tactical shootersand most of your 1v1s are face-to-face without much movement involved. You must practice hitting headshotswith the SVA, which significantly accelerates its TTK.Tracking enemiesthat are running across your screenwill feel wonky, though.
Bruen Heavy Support Grip
The Solo/Duos MVP - MTZ-762 Assault Rifle
The MTZ-762 assault rifle wasn’t that bad before Fortune’s Keep came back to Call of Duty: Warzone, butits time to kill is now on par with the strongest weapons in the game, especially in medium-to-long range gunfights. It features a slow rateof fire and a magazine with only 30 bullets, making it unforgiving for some players.
While 30 bullets may seem insufficient, its TTK makes it perfect for solo matches.

Tactical, precise players who place their shots carefully will have fun with the MTZ-762, especially in solo or duo games.you’re able to comfortably 1v1 anyone with this gun, even at close range, butits magazine size will feel limitingwhen playing in trio or quad games.
The Meta Runner-Up - BP50 Assault Rifle
In another universe, the BP50 is the absolute meta of Warzone; unfortunately, weapons like the TAQ Evolvere or the MTZ-762 overshadow it in the eyes of many pro players. We’re not pro players, though, andif you mainly play solo or duo matches in resurgence, this might be your favorite.
The major thing holding back the BP50 is its limited magazine size, just like the MTZ-762.

With ahigh rate of fire and a quick time to kill, the BP50 feels like a beast of an assault rifle. If you tried the MTZ-762, but the slow rate of fire feels too unforgiving, this gun will let you win your gunfights without having to hit many headshots.
MOAT 40 Stock
The Resurgence Sniper - KATT-AMR Sniper Rifle
While the XTR sniper rifle will let you oneshot opponents up to 60 meters, there’s no such feeling as seeing your opponent escape after hitting a headshot. This will never happen with the KATT-AMR sniper rifle due to itsinfinite range oneshot capabilities.
The KATT-AMR is still the only true one-shot gun in Warzone.
With this build, we tried to mitigate some of the downsides of using this gigantic gun. Some attachments are there just to speed up its aim-down-sights animation or to improve mobility. Try this class if you’re only going to snipe while playing Resurgence.
