Ore is an essential material inPalworld. you’re able to smelt ore to make ingots, which are a valuable resource that you use to build structures and items. Ore deposits are easy to find when exploring the environment, but the odd deposit isn’t a reliable source.
When you start crafting more complex items, you want to have a steady source of ore to collect from. Many places around the Palpagos Islands have several ore deposits where you’re able to farm for ore in one location. You can revisit these areas when the ore has replenished or set up a base there, so your Pals can do the hard work for you.

Updated on July 24, 2025, by Mohamed El Ouardighi: Palworld keeps receiving free updates, with the latest being the new Feybreak Island. Naturally, we had to revisit and update our lists, including this one, to help you farm ore more efficiently.

You’ll probably find yourself visiting the Small Settlement quite often. It’s one of the first settlements you come across and has two traders for Pals and general items.
Southwest of the settlement are eight ore nodes on a semi-large clearing. The area is too small for a full base, but it’s quiet and easy to defend. The main downside to this area is that it’s difficult to reach. You might take some time getting up there unless youhave a flying mountto help you up.

9 ore
An abundance of small raider settlements covers the west side of the Palpagos Islands, all with captured Pals and angry faction members. Among those settlements is a group of nodes in a relatively untouched area. There are nine deposits near the edge of a cliff.
There are multiple spaces around this plot of ore deposits that could begood base locations, though be careful how close you are to other settlements. There are lots ofRelaxauruswandering around, and aRelaxaurus Luxin the Sealed Realm is nearby.

This group of ore deposits sits on the slope of a mountain. From the Investigator’s Fork fast travel point, head west and up the cliff face. You’ll need strong arms or a flying mount to reach the top.
At the top, there are nine ore nodes to mine. There’s also aSkill Fruit Treethat you’ll want to pick. There are quite a few Pals near this location, including aMammorest. Make sure you take some powerful Pals to protect you or help mine and speed up the process.

Let’s be honest - Mount Obsidian is packed with all sorts of mining sites, meaning that almost anywhere you travel, you’ll find ore chunks waiting to be mined. However, some locations stand out more than others.
Just south of the Beach of Everlasting Summer fast travel point, on a hill just above water level, you’ll find a cluster of ore chunks ready to be farmed. However, be prepared, as a few enemies may be wandering around the area, so ensure to deal with them first.

The Fort Ruins location is filled to the brim with wandering Pals. It’s one of the best areas for capturing Pals due to the variety there. There’s also an Alpha palChilletnearby; it’s worth visiting for a day of mining and pal catching.
East of the fast travel point, on top of a large hill, there are eight nodes to mine. The area isn’t large enough to set up a base, but it’s peaceful, with only the oddTeafantwalking past. You can get to the area from the Fort Ruins fast travel or the Rayne Syndicate Tower Entrance fast travel.

This area is easy to miss but contains eight ore deposits and is simple to get to. When you arrive at Mount Flopie Summit, you’ll see a large open area with rocks and deposits. The deposits are just off the face of the cliff to the west of the fast travel.
The great thing about this location is that there aren’t many aggressive enemies or Pals; you’re able to go back and forth peacefully. A fewFlopies andCinnamoths are floating around, making it a good location for capturing Pals.

Another great location in Mount Obsidian for farming ore—this time without the hassle of enemies—is just west of the Tower of the Brothers of the Eternal Pyre. As you make your way there, just past the volcanic crater, you’ll spot several ore chunks ready to be mined.
Not only does this location have fewer enemies, but it also serves as a great secondary base spot in Mount Obsidian. Setting up here will keep you close to all the major mining sites, making it a convenient hub for farming resources efficiently.

South of the Cinnamoth Forest fast travel point is a large open area filled with deposits. The spot is next to the travel point, making it easy to access, and plenty of Pals are around to capture.
The site contains 11 ore deposits and one coal deposit. It might take a while to deplete, but it will keep your supply filled. Since the area is open and flat, it’s also a great base location. It’s easy to defend as it’s on the island’s edge, and the area’s large enough to set up efficiently.

The fast travel point for the Desolate Church is one of the best locations for when you don’t want to waste a day going back and forth to mine. It’s an efficient space when you run out of ingots and need a quick trip for more materials.
Behind the church are nine ore deposits. The area is right next to a fast travel point, so you don’t need to waste time running back and forth. The speed at which you can gather and transport supplies back to your base makes this one of the best locations for ore mining.

6 coal
This area is the number one spot for mining both ore and coal. With eight ore deposits and six coal deposits, no other location is as filled with materials. You’ll need a flying mount to get up there, and it’s worth taking some Pals that increase your inventory size, too.
Since this area is further north, the Pals are more dangerous. Take some protection with you so you can mine peacefully. The deposits are on top of a mountain, but you’ll sometimes find a strayMossandasitting up there.
Palworld
WHERE TO PLAY
Palworld has been described as Pokemon with guns and well, it’s hard to argue with that. The game is very similar in nature to the Pokemon formula, tasking you with catching and working with monsters called Pals. There are key differences, though. Palworld is rooted in multiplayer, oh, and, unlike Pokemon, its Pals have guns.
