Do you ever get that feeling inCyberpunk 2077? You could spend hours, days, and months cruising around, roaming the streets, and it always feels like you’re just scratching the surface. Night City is a world to get lost in with every corner hiding something new. From Pacifica’s all dystopian and grim design to the deceptively barren Badlands, it’s wild how the game sucks you in and immerses you deeper into its alive and breathing world, making you feel like an inseparable part of it, not just an observer.
So, what are the must-visit locations in Cyberpunk 2077? It really depends on what kind of experience you’re looking for. Sure, some of the coolest locations are tied to missions, but the majority of areas are open for exploration whenever you want. That means you can take your time, wander around, and really absorb the vibe of each of these vibrant locations.
10Lele Park
Lele Park is a botanical, neon-lit hub and nightlife center in Westbrook, Charter Hill. It’s an oasis surrounded by corporate skyscrapers and office buildings.A few jobsmight send you through this area, but it’s only when you stop to take in the details that you recognize how beautiful Lele Park really is.
9Jig-Jig Street
Night City pulls no punches and Jig-Jig Street is the vibrant underbelly. Cheap thrills; danger around every corner; a grimy hotbed of illicit activities, featuring drugs and worn-out joytoys. What’s not to love about Jig-Jig Street? It’s a gritty slice of life in Night City that’s hard to resist. Even the dizzying neon lights of Jig-Jig Street do little to dispel the darkness, despair, and depression of this seedy underworld.
Walking through Jig-Jig Street is a full-on barrage on the senses — but in a good way. This is Night City’s own red-light district, where you can find just about anything, from wild thrills to sketchy BDs. It’s a riot of life, color, and sound. It’s one of the first places you’ll explore. Take your time to soak it all up.
8Corpo Plaza
Even if you’re not running a corpo V, there’s no denying that the corporate world has a certain aesthetic appeal. You’ll find yourself passing the Corpo Plaza roundabout as you hustle from one job to the next. Keep an eye out for the two floating blue and red holographic fish, nestled among the towering corporate skyscrapers. When you see them, you’re in the heart of Night City’s corporate territory.
Corpo Plaza is such a memorable location to visit. There’s even a park to stroll through as you admire the surroundings. Not much to do, though. But Corpo Plaza’s design and attention to detail make it a must-visit location. And if you opt for the Corpo Plaza apartment – you’ll enjoy a stunning view.
7Badlands Canyon
Leaving Night City is often a meditative experience. The Badlands, although barren for the most part, are full of hidden gems if you know where to look. But there’s nothing hidden or subtle about the Badlands Canyon, located on the outskirts of the city at the very edge of the map. What lies beyond? Who knows? Here, there be dragons.
The vast expanse of the Badlands Canyon is a spectacle in and of itself. While there isn’t much you may do there, the sight is enough to warrant a visit. Nearby, just where the road ends, you can find a lone ramp tempting your inner thrill-seeker to jump across the Canyon. However, the other side wasn’t intended for exploration. Still, that didn’t stop a handful of players from making the jump.
If you’re curious, walk along the left side of the canyon from the main road to discover a truly shocking sight.
6Misty’s Esoterica Rooftop
It’s easy to miss, but there’s an elevator tucked away in the alleyway between Misty’s Esoterica and Viktor’s Clinic. You might want to circle back and check it out when you have the time.
But what’s up there, anyway? Well, there’s a story mission that will take you there later on. But it’s also a serene corner tucked away from the chaos of Night City, allowing a moment of respite for V to catch their breath and take in the scenic beauty of Night City from a cozy perch.
5Aldecaldo Camp
If you pick thenomad lifepath, you’ll love the Aldecaldo Camp. It’s a chill mobile nomad hangout where everyone gathers around the fire, jamming to tunes and swapping stories. And the makeshift, scrapped-together vehicles? Pure preem, decked out with salvage parts and all. Plus, there are plenty of vendors selling stuff, as well as cyberware upgrades from the camp ripperdoc.
But it’s all about the family vibe. After you’ve been on a few missions with Panam and the Aldecaldos, you start feeling like a part of their crew. And you are. Soon enough, you’ll unlock the option to spend the night in the camp under the starlit sky, far away from the constant and unrelenting chaos of Night City.
4Municipal Landfill
Though it may have the shape of a mountain, it’s anything but a natural peak. The landfill depicts the stark reality of life in Night City. A living, breathing dystopia. Heaps of garbage with no end in sight and endless mounds of trash. A scavenger’s dream-perfect world. And maybe Wall-E’s, too.
Making your way through the rugged and unforgiving landfill is a headache. There’s not much you can find in the rubble, anyway. Well, aside from the iconic Plan B pistol – Dexter DeShawn’s trademark weapon, which is always a must-grab.
3North Oak Columbarium
The Columbarium in North Oak is a labyrinth of structures, holding the memories of countless Night City residents. It’s where folks come to pay their respects to their friends, family, and loved ones.
In the Columbarium, every niche holds the ashes of those who’ve passed, telling a story – immortalizing them. Walk along its corridors, and you’ll find numerous epitaphs – from heart-wrenching to downright comical – offering a glimpse into the diverse lives of those who once graced Night City.
2Pacifica Beach
If you’re up for a bit of adventure and sightseeing, Pacifica Beach might just be the place for you. It’s more of a risk-taker’s paradise, though. This isn’t the beach of the future. Far from it. Trash litters the shoreline, and danger lurks in every corner. You don’t see anyone swimming or sunbathing.
Despite its dangers, a walk along Pacifica Beach is a fascinating experience. From the pier to the sprawling mall and the eerie abandoned roller coaster, there are plenty of sights to behold. But it’s wise to come prepared. Pacifica is anything but a haven. So, make sure to bring a gun. Or three.
1Drive-In Movie Theater
The Drive-In Movie Theater — an abandoned relic. Another desolate, forgotten place in Night City. While there’s a mission tied to this location, exploring it on your own is just as rewarding, especially if you manage to get in. You’ll need the code, conveniently hidden on the computer.
Seeing all the wrecked cars, once love nests for couples, and trash everywhere, paints a gloomy picture. It makes you wonder if there’s even such a thing asromance in Night City. Well, at least until you get to the mission.
