Baldur’s Gate 3is a huge game. All three acts take a while to complete, with Act 3 being the most expansive. It’s nearly an entire game in itself. As you navigate the city, you’ll encounter new companions, irritating NPCs, and plenty of side quests.
With such overwhelming choices, it’s hard to know where to start. Enjoy the game at your own pace while ensuring you hit the most important storylines. This list discusses the ten best side quests from Act 3 you don’t want to miss before you make your final stand againstThe Elder Brain.

10Find Dribbles The Clown
You will encounter the Circus of the Last Days in Rivington during the start of Act 3. While it may seem like a nice, entertaining place to take a break from the violence throughout the game, there are sinister plans at work at this seemingly joyful circus.
After watching what transpires on stage, you may choose toFind Dribbles the Clownwhen you talk to Lucretius. This quest involves an ominous scavenger hunt as you search for the severed body parts of a circus performer.

9Find The Wyrmway
Baldur’s Gate 3 is filled with puzzles, and this quest provides quite a few. Afterrescuing Duke Ravengard, he tells you about an ancient dragon sleeping under the city. Entering the Wyrmway aligns with Wyll’s story, as his father is how you trigger the quest.
This dungeon leads you to some Legendary items as well as a bunch of puzzles to solve. This side quest even provides small details about one of your other companions, making it one you don’t want to miss.

We recommend bringing Karlach and Wyll along for this particular quest for interesting dialogue.
8Help The Hag Survivors
The Hag is an infamous foe throughout all three acts of Baldur’s Gate 3. By the third, she has several enemies ready to unite to bring about her death.If you saved Mayrina, she is among the group.
To add this quest to your journal, look for the Anti-Hag Support Group posters scattered throughout the city. Once you find one, the quest is triggered. This eventually leads to a final battle with Auntie Ethel involving a moral conundrum and valuable loot.

If Mayrina died in Act 1, the survivor group still exists. The quest just doesn’t include her character.
7Find The House Of Grief
Shadowheart’squestconcludes at the House of Grief. The Daughter of Darkness ends her journey by facing her Sharran cult and facing her final dilemma with her faith. Depending on Shadowheart’s choices, she could be seeking the house for revenge, answers, or as a power-hungry Dark Justiciar.
As you enter the Northwestern side of the city, you will encounter citizens who have lost their memories, leading you inside the house, where a final battle will take place for the future of the Sharrans. The emotional conclusion to Shadowheart’s story shouldn’t be missed.

6Investigate Cazador’s Palace
Astarion also has a harrowing ending to his personal story, The Pale Elf, in Act 3 atCazador’s Palace. Once inside, you meet the abusive Vampire Lord, Cazador, as he attempts to complete a ritual to take on a dangerous amount of power.
You will help Astarion confront his tormentor and exact revenge through various options. In one of the more emotional questlines, the ending to his arc is bittersweet, with outcomes ranging from cathartic to unsettling. With various moral choices, you can choose what aligns best with your character.

Your choices here drastically alter Astarion’s path for the rest of the game, particularly if you are romancing him.
5Free Orpheus
This quest is majorly tied to Lae’Zel’s storyline, The Githyanki Warrior. It involves thelong-lost Githyanki Prince, Orpheus, who has been imprisoned by The Emperor. If you acquire theOrphic Hammer, you can free him towards the end of Act 3.
The fate of Orpheus drastically impacts your dynamics with quite a few allies, so it’s important to weigh your options here. Something is lost regardless of the outcome, making it one of the more difficult moral choices in the game.

NOTE: If you’re romancing Lae’Zel, your choices here could end that relationship.
4Solve The Open House Temple Murders
This is one of the longer quests in Act 3 and it involves some serious detective work. After speaking to Sister Yannis in the Open Hand Temple, you will learn about a murder. As you investigate, you learn it’s just a small part of serial killings happening around the city.
This discovery leads to a much bigger plot involving theBhaal Cult. It concludes with another optional quest under the city as you face Bhaalspawn and a task that tests your code of ethics.

If you choose the Dark Urge origin, you have a sinister tie-in to these murders and different dialogue options throughout your encounters.
3Disable The Steel Watch
Gortash uses The Steel Watch to control the city. When you reach The Foundry in Act 3, you’ll find you also use Gondian slaves to create this massive, metal force. You have the option to disable the watch, which involves various other sub-quests.
If you want to side with Gortash, you may ignore the slaves and prisoners he has taken. If youwant to defeat him, we recommend following thevarious side queststhat are triggered throughout this plot line. This quest forces you to choose where your loyalties lie.

This side quest impacts some of the others in your journal, so make sure you only Disable the Steel Watch once you’re ready.
2Aid The Underduke
In Act 3, you have one final companion you can recruit. The Aid the Underduke quest is started at Sharess’ Caress by talking to two men at a table. They lead you to Nine-Fingers, who talks about a mysterious enemy called The Stone Lord.
After a fight at the Counting House, a confusing doppelganger, and a trip to the city sewers, you gain the option to recruitMinsc and his hamster companion,Boo, a fun addition to your party that is easy to miss.

If you have Jaheira in your party, we recommend using her for this quest.
1Enter The House Of Hope
One of the best boss battles in Act 3 occurs in the House of Hope, Raphael’s demonic domain in Avernus. Raphael offers you a deal at Sharess’ Cares. Whether you take the offer or not, this leads you to an optional trip to hell.
Traveling to Raphael’s home leads you to new, exciting characters, powerful items, and a final confrontation with the infamous devil. This side quest involves stealth, spice, and an epic theme song. Thefinal battle with Raphaelis a must.
