Save Before You Talk With People

The Thaumaturge allows you tosave during most moments, with your interactions leading to different results.

For instance, early in the game, you’re able to give away a woman who was storing bullets or have police officers take away a leader, which can impact the game and how characters perceive you. The same applies to whether youpush your prideful answers or try to hide informationfrom people.

If you want to see how different situations play out, you shouldsave right before you talk with people to see what you can getfrom multiple answers. You can then stick with the choice you like the most.

You can’t pause and save once you start a conversation.

Swap Your Salutors In Combat

Once you complete the prologue and gain your second Salutor, you can switch between them in combat.Switching them doesn’t change turn orderor commit you to a specific Salutor, so see what they can do and pick the best one for the situation.

For instance, Upyr is great for dealing damage to enemies at full health while providing support through Focus reduction and healing. On the other hand,Bukavac is great for dealing damage to multiple enemies, thanks to its use of the Suffering ailment.

You canuse Salutors to weaken more powerful enemies. Learn each Salutor’s corresponding Dimension Force, so you’ll know which one will get rid of powerful buffs your opponents may have.

Adjust Your Combat Skills Before Each Fight

Speaking of combat, you havecombat passives and skills you may change based on the upcoming fight. For example, if you’re fighting two weaker enemies and another who has tons of health, adding Brutality to a move can help you take out the strongest enemy to minimize damage.

You canhover enemies before a fight startsand press the corresponding button prompt to adjust your skills. In essence, passives can only be equipped to one ability at a time, meaning you’ll unlikely use the same setup during each fight.

Although passives can be changed at any time, the same doesn’t apply to Thaumaturge pointsyou spend on Dimension Forces.

Balance Breaking Focus And Dealing Damage

During combat, you have two main stats that will impact gameplay: Focus and Health. While Health is obvious, when an opponent’s Focus runs out, you canperform a powerful attackon them.

You mustfind the balance between breaking Focusand dealing damage by comparing the two.

If the enemy only has a few points of Focus, performing a Focus break could be the better optionsince you’ll deal more damage in the long run. On the other hand, if they have multiple Focus points, it might be better to use your Strong Attacks without worrying about Focus.

If you have trouble finding this balance, do some quick math to see if it will take more turns to defeat them or break their Focus. As a general rule,Focus breaking is better for weaker enemieswhile Health damage is better for bosses.
