At this point,Baldur’s Gate 3fans want to romanceeveryone, fromJaheiratoGortashtoOrin. There’s always a big viral post about wanting to smooch someone, but this week, fans have been ogling over the narrator.

Granted, the post was a meme probably thrown out there as a joke, but one look at the comments and you’ll find people thirsting for the narrator’s voice alone. She has no body, in fairness, being a discorporate voice only you can hear, but that’s more than enough for some.

sigh no OP, you cannot roll to seduce the DM.

“She can haveAuthorityover me any time,” one fan commented. Sharing that sentiment, another added, “Whenever she says ‘Authority’ I lose all blood flow to my brain.” And then there’s Wolfsson8888, “PLLLLEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAASE”. Straight to the point with the grovelling.

There is a pretty popularheadcanon(you’ll get that pun in a sec) that the tadpole (see?) is the narrator, bleeding into your thoughts. This would mean that romancing the narrator is equivalent to romancing the parasite in your skull, or at a stretch, an avatar of the Absolute itself. Do not make me write about wanting to bone the big elder brain, please.

“I like to imagine the narrator is the tadpole in our head,” one fan commented. Another said, “I imagine she’s the voice of the parasite and it’s just calling things out as it sees it.” Odette-from-Fet commented, “I always assumed the narrator was the tadpole… she wasn’t there before.”

It’s sound logic, and it’s not too far away from ‘Would you love me if I was a worm?’ so I kind of getwhyit being a squirming little mind flayer baby wouldn’t put everyone off. But I’ll have to pass.

Another theory is thatthe narrator is the DM, and so you’d be breaking the fourth wall by trying to woo them over. But who knows? Maybe getting in the DM’s good graces would improve your dice rolls. “Narrator is the DM and I roll like sh*t,” chevalier716 said. “Ergo, it’s in my best interests to romance them.”

Something tells me the narrator won’t ever be a romance option, but hey, there’s alwaysDivinity: Original Sin 2’sMalady - she’s also voiced by Amelia Tyler.
