Baldur’s Gate 3has a few human companions already, like Gale, Wyll, and Minsc.Shadowheart is even half-human. But one fan is expanding that roster, reimagining a couple of the other Origin Characters as human by stripping away their tiefling horns and githyanki markings.

“Human Karlach,” Makverus said, straight to the point and matter of fact. They attached an image of a her as a human like the title suggests, but kept her red flare through lipstick and highlights.

“She looks like a German biker,” one fan commented. “Riding a motorbike wearing leather, listening to crappy ’80s heavy metal. Fu** ja, sehr toll.”

I can see Karlach headbanging to Rammstein. I’m sure they hold concerts in Baldur’s Gate now and then.

Tiefling Karlach: But I like this.

Now I kinda wanna see Gith and Orc Karlach.

As for why Makverus decided to make Karlach a human; “I saw an opinion that Karlach’s face looks good only because she’s a tiefling, and supposedly she wouldn’t be attractive as a human. So, I decided to check it out using my Photoshop skills. I don’t understand how people can say this face isn’t beautiful.”

Many in the comments asked that they follow up this post with Lae’zel, imagining what our favourite githyanki would look like as a human. Makverus quickly obliged.

“‘Chk, you turn me into a human monstrosity I should kill you in your sleep’ something Lae’zel would say,” one fan commented.

“Tch. That large, fleshy nose of hers looks like a mistake,” another said.

“How dare you human-wash my fantasy babes. I pox upon you and your livestock,” Full_Road8425 said.

Fans are now demanding the reverse for the human characters, wanting to see Gale, Wyll, and Minsc reimagined as dragonborns and elves. Others want to see characters like Minthara with a human coat of paint, mix-and-matching their parties.

These were made with Photoshop, so they’re more concepts than anything else. But of course,Baldur’s Gate 3 has a budding modding community. There are already mods that addKarlach’s face, hair, and horns to the character creator. So youcanmake a human Karlach in-game, so long as you’re playing on PC. Maybe dragonborn Gale isn’t so far-fetched.
