One of the most beloved parts ofPersona 3 Reloadis its colorful cast of characters filling the roles of your social links. With each friend you make around Port Island tied intricately to one of the arcana of the tarot, your bonds with your friends can strengthen your Personas, and vice versa.
But with your friends all having such varied availability, which can become pretty limited depending on the time of year, and being spread far and wide across the map of Iwatodai, it can be tough to track down the social link you want to hang out with.
Updated on July 15, 2025:Now that we’ve published individual guides for all of our Persona 3 Reload social links, we’re giving our complete Persona 3 Reload social link location and availability guide one final coat of paint to ensure everyone is present, accounted for, and has their guide hyperlinked for your convenience.
This guide contains spoilers for Persona 3 Reload.
What Are Social Links?
Social links track your friendshipsas you play through Persona 3 Reload, and each character you spend time with has been assigned toan arcana that correlates to Personasin your Compendium.
You’ll know which arcana each social link represents when you first unlock their relationship progression, as Elizabeth with tell you you’ve unlocked new powers with Personas of a specific arcana.
Not only does spending time with your friendsfurther your relationshipsand unlock new,fully-animated cutscenes, but progressing relationshipsadds power to Personas you fuse whose arcana matches that character’s social link. you’re able to tell who’s willing to spend time with you if theyhave a blue tarot card over their headwhen you find them around Port Island.
Finally, once you’ve reachedRank Ten (Max)with your social links, you’ll unlock the ability tofuse an Ultimate Persona for their arcanathat isn’t available without finishing the social link in Persona 3 Reload.
The fusion recipe will beunlocked automaticallyfor you the next time you visit the Velvet Room, but beware that the majority of these Ultimate Personasrequire some rather high-level parent Personas to fuse.
Hanging out with your social linksconsumes the time slotyou spend with them, though, meaning you’ll need toplan your schedule accordinglyto max out what you may achieve in a single playthrough. Youwon’t always level upwith a social link, though, meaning you’ll need tospend time with them without ranking upto earn affinity ordraw a fortune at Naganaki Shrineto boost the social link.
Not only areyour social links only available at certain times and on certain days, but many have limited availability depending on the time of year or the current plot point in the story.
For example,your classmatesare unavailable the week before examsso they can dedicate themselves to studying. They’re alsounavailable during the summer break, too, so be mindful of your time.
Additionally, some of your social links haveskill locksthat you’ll need to meet before you may even formally begin the relationship. These require you tohave yoursocial statsat a certain skill levelbefore this character is willing to spend time with you.
Any hard locks like this will be noted in the guide below to help you prepare ahead of time if there’s someone specific you’re looking for.
Aigis (Aeon)
The last of your Persona 3 Reload social links to unlock,Aigisbecomes available on1/8, leaving you with remarkably little time to max her Aeon social link.
Aigis is available every school day except on the day your class speaks to Ms. Toriumi about their plans for the third year.

Kazuchi Miyamoto (Chariot)
When you’re made to join theTrack Teamearly into your enrollment at Gekkoukan High, you’ll quickly befriend team captain,Kazushi Miyamoto.
Ambitious, bold, and unwilling to admit defeat, your Chariot social link with Kaz sees you helping him through an injury that threatens his future in sports.

Maxing the Charot social link with Kazushi unlocks theSports Tape, the item needed to fuseThor, the Ultimate Persona of the Chariot arcana, in the Velvet Room.
President Tanaka (Devil)
One of the less conventional social links in Persona 3 Reload,President Tanakafrom the Home Shopping Program serves as your Devil social link.
And this is apt - you’ll need topay him ¥20,000up front, followed byanother ¥20,000 on two subsequent nightto begin the social link on thethird time you speak to him, as well as haveLevel Four Charmto get him to engage with you at all.
President Tanaka will not begin to appear at Paulownia Mall until you’ve heard about him hanging out there during the Rank Four scene of the Hermit social link with Maya.

Befriending Tanaka and helping him through this growth unlocks the Ultimate Persona of the Devil arcana.
Hidetoshi Odagiri (Emperor)
Prim and proper, straight-laced and steadfast,Hidetoshi Odagiriis on the disciplinary committee for the student council at Gekkoukan.
Outraged by the flaunting of school rules when he finds a cigarette butt in the bathroom on campus, your social link with Hidetoshi is all about helping him try to make Gekkoukan High a nicer place.

Mitsuru Kirijo (Empress)
Class president, former SEES navigator, battle partner, and more,Mitsuru Kirijois your Empress social link in P3R. However, as a studious girl herself, you’ll need tomax your Academics statto begin spending time with Mitsuru.

Keisuke Hiraga (Fortune)
Beginning after Fuuka joins SEES and you’re allowed to join the Art Club, its presidentKeisuke Hiraga, an artist with a penchant for medicine, becomes your Fortune social link in P3R.

Finishing Keisuke’s social link and helping him find his own path in life rewards you with theAward Letter, permitting the fusion ofLakshmi.
Maiko Oohashi (Hanged)
After you hear some classmates mention a sad girl hanging out at Naganaki Shrine, head over there anytime after school to meetMaiko Oohashi, the grade school girl serving as your Hanged social link in P3R.
Maiko’s parents are in the middle of a rather messy divorce when you first meet her, and your Hanged social link is all about helping to guide her through being a child of divorce who can’t fathom why her parents have fallen out of love.

You’ll needone Weird Takoyakifrom Octopia at Iwatodai Strip Mall andone can of MadBullfrom the vending machine on 2F of the dorms to begin Maiko’s social link.
Maxing Maiko’s social link not only helps soothe this lonely little girl, but it also unlocks the Ultimate Persona of the Hanged arcana -Attis, which can be fused after receiving Maiko’sPaper Ring.
Maiko goes missing within Tartarus in October, and if you don’t save her before the deadline, the social link will freeze where it is and you can no longer advance it.
“Maya” (Hermit)
Once the internet connectivity at Iwatodai Dorms is restored following the attack from the first Full Moon shadow, your protagonist can spend days off from school with his online friend,Maya.
You’ll learn Maya’s true identity later on, but the Hermit social link is all about befriending an adult who’s burnt out at her job.
In Persona 3 Reload, spending time with Maya no longer consumes the entire day as she did in previous versions of P3 - time with Maya is limited to the afternoon time slot, freeing up your evening for other activities.

Bunkichi And Mitsuko Kitamura (Hierophant)
The elderly couplewho operates the used bookstore, Bookworms, over at Iwatodai Strip Mall are more than happy to spend some time with your protagonist!
Bunkichi is an old man whose memory is failing him, while Mitsuko is his doting wife trying to keep her head above water with the challenges that come with handling a loved one’s growing senility.
Every day but Mondays.
4/25(Earliest Start)
Once Bookworms opens, you’ll be sent to collect a Persimmon Leaf to begin the Hierophant social link. Thepersimmon tree is in the Courtyardbetween the school building and where you participate in the Track Team.
Finishing the Hierophant social link not only provides Bunkichi and Mitsuko with the closure they so rightly deserve, but it also lets you fuse the Ultimate Hierophant Persona back at the Velvet Room.
Like Maiko, Bunkichi will gomissing within Tartarusduring September, and if you fail to rescue him in time, the Hierophant social link freezes where it is untila NG+ saveof the game.
Chihiro Fushimi (Justice)
Though she starts off excruciatingly shy,Chihiro Fushimiis the bashful, quiet girl service as your Justice social link in P3R.
Also a stickler for the rules, Chihiro’s had a hard time socializing - with men specifically, due to some childhood trauma. Befriending her gives her someone to lean on when she’s accused of stealing money from the student council.

You’ll need totalk to Chihiro in the hallway three timesbefore you can begin her social link. She begins appearing after you join Student Council.
When you finish the Justice social link with Chihiro in P3R, she’ll give you theMangashe’s been reading, which allows you to fuse the Ultimate Persona of the Justice arcana,Melchizedek.
Yukari Takeba (Lovers)
The girl who helps you adjust to life in Iwatodai and one hell of a healer on your team in battle,Yukari Takebais your Lovers social link for Persona 3 Reload. However, you’ll need to havemaxed your Charm statand reachedLevel Six: Charismaticbefore Yukari will spend time with you.

Regardless of if you’ve chosen the platonic or romantic route, Yukari will give youYukari’s Strapfrom her phone, allowing the fusion ofCybelein the Velvet Room.
Kenji Tomochika (Magician)
Your very first social link in Persona 3 Reload and an unskippable one because of this,Kenji Tomochikais your Magician social link.
He introduces himself to you your first full week at Gekkoukan, and as you spend time eating ramen together, Kenji reveals he’s determined to get himself a girlfriend, and he has his eyes set on amucholder target.

Kenji’s social link triggers automatically on 4/22 after he approaches you at the school gates, and it serves as your introduction to social links.
By maxing Kenji’s social link and receiving theHandmade Choker, you’ll unlockFutsunushi, the Ultimate Persona of the Magician arcana.
Nozomi Suemitsu (Moon)
Better known as the Gourmet King,Nozomi Suemitsuis the portly boy at Paulownia Mall you’ll typically see chowing down from his seat near the fountains.
Befriending Nozomi offers a glimpse past the boy whose whole shtick is eating and introduces you to a boy who’s joined a cult to get past the trauma of his younger brother passing away.
To get Nozomi to begin speaking to you, you’ll need to answer a series of questions about food around Iwatodai and Port Island, as well as give him anOdd Morsel.
Nozomi won’t appear at Paulownia Mall until you hear about him from Kenji Tomochika, your classmate, on5/8.

Fuuka Yamagishi (Priestess)
After you rescue her from Tartarus on the second Full Moon operation in June,Fuuka Yamagishibecomes available to hang out with after school and serves as your Priestess social link. One of the highest skill locks in the game, you’ll need to havemaxed your CourageatLevel Six (Badass)to begin Fuuka’s social link, so it helps to begin building your stats early in your playthrough.

After the final scene of Fuuka’s social link when she gives you a pair ofFuuka’s Headphones, you’ll be able to fuseScathach, the Ultimate Persona of the Priestess arcana.
Mamoru Hayase (Star)
After the track meet in August, you’ll finally begin your Star social link in Persona 3 Reload withMamoru Hayase, a rival track star, centered on going out to eat and hearing why Mamoru is so driven to succeed.

Though you’ll only have about half the game to do so, finishing Mamoru’s social link and sending him off, he’ll give you a set ofCar Keys. This key item lets you fuse the Ultimate Star Persona,Helel.
Yuko Nishiwaki (Strength)
The manager of the Track Team and Kazushi’s best friend,Yuko Nishiwaki, is the Strength social link for Persona 3 Reload.
When you first meet this friendly, athletic lady, she’s a bit aimless on what she wants from the future, but through finishing her social link, you’ll help her figure out what she wants from life.

4/24 (at the earliest)
After joining the Track Team on 4/23, you’ll need toask Yuko to walk home with you after Track practice twice. She declines the first invitation but accepts the second, and the social link begins on that second day. Because of this, you’ll need toattend Track practice at least twiceto trigger Yuko’s social link, even if you don’t intend to pursue Kazushi’s.
By finishing Yuko’s social link and receiving theKids' Letterafter you’ve trained them, you’ll be able to fuse the Ultimate Persona of the Strength arcana,Atavaka.
Akinari Kamiki (Sun)
Akinari Kamiki, the “Sickly Young Man,” is your Sun social link in Persona 3 Reload, and spending time with him is a pretty emotional ride.
To begin Akinari’s social link, you’ll need to firstmeet him during Maiko’s Rank Three scenefor her Hanged social link - he won’t begin to appear until you’ve met him at the Shrine. You’ll also need to have reachLevel Four Academics, too.
One of the sadder social links in the whole of the Persona series to date, your time with Akinari is spent helping him finish the story he’s writing as he comes to terms with his mortality.

Finishing Akinari’s social link might hurt, especially when you receive hisWornNotebook, but it allows the fusion of the Ultimate Sun Persona,Asura.
Bebe (Temperance)
The foreign exchange student from France, Andre Laurent Jean Geraux, is better known to his classmates in Nihon asBebe.
A member of the Fashion Club, Bebe’s social link sees him trying to wow his uncle back home with the wonders of Japan, in an effort to get him to let Bebe stay there after a death in the family.
However, you’ll need tomeet Bebeduring another social link - you’ll visit Bookworms at the same time during yourRank Three sceneof theHierophant social linkwith Bunkichi and Mitsuko.
After meeting, though, you’ll also need to reachLevel Two Academicsto be able to translate the sign on the door of the Fashion Club at Gekkoukan, which is the final step to beginning Bebe’s social link.

Once Bebe has finished his kimono project, he’ll offer you aCoin Pouch. With it, you’ll be able to fuse the Ultimate Persona of the Temperance arcana,Yurlungur.
Mutatsu (Tower)
After hearing about a drunken monk who spends most evenings at Club Escapade in Paulownia Mall, you’ll be introduced toMutatsu, beginning your Tower social link in P3R.
Though he comes across as just a monk with a drinking problem, befriending Mutatsu offers a peak into the broken family life that drives the man to drink in the first place.
Mutatsu won’t begin to show up at Club Escapade untilYuko tells you about himin conversation after herRank 4scene in theStrength social link.
After you know where Mutatsu is, you’ll need to have reachedLevel 2 Courageto enter Club Escapade. From there, you’ll need totalk to the waiter and help him take drink ordersto get him to send a drink to Mutatsu and get him to talk to you.
