PlayStation is having a Spring sale,Xbox is having a Spring sale, nowNintendois celebrating the new season by slashing some of its prices. Well, sort of. There’s no big sale on the Nintendo eShop, but some of the biggest games on theSwitchhave had their prices cut from $60 down to $40 onAmazon. If you own a Switch you’ll know how rare it is that its bigger titles go on sale, although with the console that will replace it potentially launching in less than a year, we’re likely to see sales like this more frequently in the coming months.

Even games likeSuper Mario OdysseyandThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildwhich released alongside the Switch more than seven years ago have maintained their original $60 price. However, both are currently $40 on Amazon. Breath of the Wild’s price cut has likely come about not only to sell more copies of the industry-changing title, but also to keep thoseTears of the Kingdomsales ticking over.

WHERE TO PLAY

Widely regarded as one of the best games ever made, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sets Link his toughest challenge yet. With free exploration of a huge open world and a story you can complete in your own order, it is a must-play for the Nintendo Switch.

If you’re playing Breath of the Wild and want more once you’re done, you’ll almost certainly pick up Tears of the Kingdom. While not all the way down to $40, the Zelda sequelis also available for less right now on Amazon. Mario games are rarely reduced in price either because, well, it’s Mario. The best-known video game character in the world, even the most casual gamers, or people buying gifts for casual gamers, know that anything with Mario on the cover is going to be reliable.

Super Mario Odyssey brought the 3D platforming series to the Nintendo Switch for the first time. Launched in 2017, it sees Mario team up with a sentient hat named Cappy, as they look to save Princess Peach once again.

Multiple great Mario Switch games are $20 off at Amazon right now. Odyssey,New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe among them. Somehow the newest Mario Kart continues to sell millions of copies despite nearly half of all Switch owners already owning the game. Getting unexpected DLC, and a lot of it, Mario Kart 8 now has twice as many tracks as it did at launch and a few extra characters on its roster if you buy the Booster Course Pack.
